Pregnant after 35

The wait... uggg

First the TWW and now the excruciatingly long wait for my first OB appt. My appt isn't until I'm 9 weeks, which I know makes sense but I think I'm going to go crazy waiting until then, that's a month from now! Being a frequent loss momma doesn't help the situation. I need a hobby stat!!!

Thanks for hearing my vent, lol.

  • Waiting for that first US is very challenging.  Hang in there!
  • Loading the player...
  • Know exactly how you feel.  I work in an ER and took a test every day until my appointment.  They are super cheap at the dollar store if you're feeling super anxious!

    Hang in there.
  • pregnancy...one wait after the next...isn't it!

  • That's so true, I was thinking we get through our 1st appt ok and then its another 4 weeks and all the testing before we can really settle in... it's always something!

  • Oh boy, one whole month till your appointment seems indeed like eternity... I assume morning sickness doesn't give you enough of a 'distraction' yet? It somewhat helped me between appointments because I felt so sick I could think of anything other than how miserable I was...

    Hang in there!!

  • I feel like the entire 40 weeks is just waiting after waiting.  Always waiting for the next step.  Then once baby comes out and the wait is over, life suddenly goes so much faster.

Good luck.  Know we are all waiting the same wait with you.

  • Sidey!! Congratulations!!!!   I know just how you're feeling.  I found an obgyn at 5 weeks and when I called, they made my appt. for 9.5 weeks! I was surprised at my age (seem we are the same), they didn't want to see me sooner, but in a way, made me glad they didn't need to. :)

So the time goes fast, trust me.  You will be at your first ultrasound quicker than you think!  Maybe all my morning sickness gave me a distraction.. I don't know!

Wishing you all the best.  Take care~
