Here's mine.. 99$ on target.com and I love it. Great glider for the money.
I gota similar one from kmart on line for 119$ now we went and tried it in the store and i was a little worried about the comfort but im hoping it was just cuz it was the store model but if not then we will have to figure out what we can add to it to make it more comfy lol

We don't have the space for a huge recliner/rocker and I don't want to spend a bunch of money on something that im going to use for such a short time. We used a second hand one from a friend with our DS and I honestly just sat on my couch more. For me it's not a must have.
We love our poang chairs we have a kid's size for DS and a regular one for us, it is so comfortable. I would think that the rocker version would be just as wonderful.
We have one of the regular ones too! It's so comfortable. And because it's going to be in our living room I want one that I like the look of.
@mangomimosa so you are saying that you liked the wood frame gliders better than the stuffed chair looking ones right? Because to me the chair looking ones appear to be more comfy but i have not really compared feels myself. Are you saying that because you do find them more comfy or are you just saying that because you find the wood frames to be just as functional and less expensive? Am i making sense? Lol

We got ours on Wayfair.com for about $145 and i like it a lot. They have a variety of gliders with the Ottoman for a reasonable price. And yes you can get 10% off for email sign up and if you use ebates.com you get a percentage back as well.

Yeah, I like the wood frame gliders better... but that's definitely taking into account several factors. Cost, size, and comfort. We don't have the room for a giant cushy chair/recliner, so it's wood glider vs. narrow/modern-looking upholstered chair. I thought comfort between those two styles was similar & I could fall asleep in either. Also, I'm short, and in the upholstered chair I had to use pillows behind me to get the right posture for nursing. I didn't have to do that with the gliders.
Now if I had a million bucks would I buy a perfectly sized, custom upholstered chair? Yeah. I am worried about the wooden ones squeaking/breaking/etc. like some of the reviews on Amazon say. But I figure -- hell, considering the price difference, I can buy a whole new wooden glider and STILL spend less!
@drudolph11 - I have one of each and the wooden glider is surprisingly more comfortable than I would have thought. If I had to choose one I would have been fine with just the wooden.
To @mangomimosa point - height is an issue with upholstered gliders. I am pretty short and I had to try many before I found one that was not only comfy enough for my lower back, but that I could easily slide out of without having to hop because my feet don't touch the floor. It was one of the less expensive ones (like 700) at BBB and came with the ottoman.
We did an IKEA hack for ours. We bought the Jennylund chair at IKEA, a swivel rocker off of Amazon, and some wood at Home Depot. It turned out great. We had a wooden frame with a cream suede like fabric from BRU with our twins. We sold it on Craig's List because it didn't hold up too well the first around.

Don't spend 170$ on this from ikea. You can get it on amazon for waaaay less. (Not 100% same but really close). Like 65$ (+20ish shipping)
I looked online forever too and decided I needed to sit in one in person before making the purchase. We ordered ours from a small local baby boutique and it had an 8 week delivery time. It was a Best Chairs brand. If you have any local baby boutiques you might be able to get a floor model on sale. Ours was more expensive than probably everything else we've bought for the baby at $600.
I also bought this brand from a local store called Bellini. I got it for my first son when they were going out of business and I got it with the ottoman for under $350. You def need to sit in them first to see what you like best.
Got mine from Target. I think it was 135, maybe? I could not find any at furniture stores except babies r us, and those are soooo expensive. Good luck on your hunt!
@cafecreme ha that's funny. We got ours online through kmart for 119$ and actually just found a used one on Craigs list that was originally 600$ that we got for 70$ and took back the one to kmart. So we literally took back our brand new one and kept the used one because we liked it so much! I love Craigs list! I absolutely refuse to buy anything new until i have throughly stalked Craigs list for the item for at least a month or until right before we actually absolutely need it!

We also got a "Best" brand glider & ottoman. I don't have it yet bc they're special order, but it should be here soon. We decided it was worth spending more on - and got one that we can incorporate into our living room after we're done with baby(ies)
My wife and I tried out several rocker/gliders at all the local baby stores (BRU/ BBB/ Baby Depot) and felt they were all uncomfortable, ugly, material was cheaper or they were over priced. We ended up going to Raymour and Flanigan and purchased a powers recliner/rocker that isn't soo huge so it doesn't look like an old man rocker. Best part is the power recliner. I won't have to wake mydaughter if she falls asleep on me because the motor is sooo quiet and moves so smoothly! We were lucky enough also that the grey matched perfectly with her nursery! The price was comparable also! It was just as costly, if not cheaper than the baby store brands but much better quality and it reclines and it power operated! We even made sure to ask what happens in a storm of we lose power, and the sales person said there is a back up Power source that allows for the chair to fold back in and we can still rock! Here is a pic! Good luck!
We have tried dozens of chairs at baby stores and furniture stores, and still don't have one. La z boy is very comfortable, but not my aesthetic at all, and I can't see shelling out big bucks for something I don't want to move to the living room eventually.
I really wanted to like the Poang chair from Ikea, but as a tall lady they felt way, way too low and the deep angle of the seat was extremely awkward. Tried both the rocker and the chair versions, and nope. Aren't the Swedish tall? I'm quite fit and mobile, but I could not imagine dealing with these chairs, especially post c-section should that happen.
Right now Dh and I are thinking about the Dawson glider from Costco which we can't try in the store, or a pricey reclining glider from a modern furniture store.
I might not be help but I found mine (a wingback glider from pottery barn) at a discount furniture store for 250$. And it's amazing!! So amazing I might even admit paying 1200$ for it new would probably be worth it.
We got a comfy recliner/rocker at BBB ... with the 20% off coupon it came to $475 or something. The same recliner was $675 at a kid's furniture store. Pricey, but not $675!
The gliders are cute, but we wanted something we could repurpose in the house if needed down the line. Didn't see how a glider would do that, so we went with the LA-Z boy style that matched our couches.
