Snowed In

Anyone else spending the day snowed in in the northeast?? My hubby's is currently making me some crepes and it's going to be a lazy movie day! What are you doing to stay warm? Almost over a foot of snow here with crazy winds. What's it like where you are?

I live in Montana. One of the coldest cities in the USA.... Today like yesterday we are breaking records for the warmest weather we have had. Should be mid 60s again today

but I totally know your pain. We had about that much a few weeks ago. No fun at all

Sounds wonderful! Here in Pittsburgh we got just enough snow for it to be a pain, but not enough for anything to be cancelled. No fun!

Snowed in here too, working from home in order to save my paid time off for maternity leave

So hard to concentrate as DH has stayed home too but is just hanging out. Decided now is a good time to work on the house and use loud tools. Yay.

I live in Minnesota... we rarely get snowed in. Everyne I work with is on the east coast and our major offices are in Hartford... all closed. I am WFH today with a sick kiddo, so it's nice that things are quite as everyone out there is hunkered down to wait out the storm. Stay safe!

Yes Boston and southern Nh are getting a good amount of snow! Greatful that my boss said they won't need anyone in my dept today

What hospital are you going through with your little one? I'm going through southern Nh through Womens care of nashua.

I'll be at Dartmouth Hitchcock Keene. Unless there are complications, then I'll just head up to Lebanon, but hopefully not!

Seriously. All of your snow days sound wonderful. Crepes? Strawberry milkshakes? Damn. I have to go in today. Living on Lake Ontario I was hoping it wouldn't be too much to ask for a snow day, but alas, zero snow here.

I'm in Boston. We have at least 17" of snow with hours to go. DH won't let me help clear any snow, and I've eaten a half tray of brownies since last night... Also I'm seeing reports of two babies born during the blizzard and feeling SUPER thankful all I will need to possibly contend with is Red Sox home game traffic!

Snow day here on the jersey shore. Didn't get as much as expected but I'm happy to have the day off.

My husband on the other hand is gearing up to go shovel. Ugh, why??? I swear guys have the same obsession with shoveling snow like they do with making fire. It's this weird ego/ man thing going on.

The ice storm in Ontario we had last year (or the year before. Pregnancy brain) you couldn't even find salt! People were panicking. Hopefully not the case for you guys!

@surfingmama‌ Ha not my husband! I think he wants to cry. Even though we have a snowblower it takes at least an hour to do the driveway. Why did we buy a house again? Apartment-living is sorely missed today.

@tanners5360‌ Luckily lots of forewarning for this one, so I was able to get stockpiled on gas, flashlights, salt and snacks

I'm south of Boston and we're snowed in! It looks like a little more than a foot of snow is already on the ground and it's continuing to fall. The wind sounded so crazy last night when I was trying to sleep. We've been lucky so far because we haven't lost power yet. My fiancé and I are just going to have a lazy day with lots of cuddling.

Central Jersey here (middlesex county) and enjoying a snow day! Was so happy to hear my office in times square would be closed today but we seriously only got about 5-6 inches.It's still snowing so im just enjoying the peaceful view out my window. My family in LI are busting their backs with over a foot of snow

North eastern CT here and it's pretty awesome actually. We only have about 14 inches and they were predicting so much more. My mom stayed over, we slept in, had pancakes. Husband is snowblowing and doesn't like me to help much but I will probably help clean off my moms car at least. I simultaneously hate snow and love to get out in the fresh air all at the same time. Can't believe it wasn't worse than this but I'm so glad!

@MCRM14‌ did you find out what you were having? I had an ultrasound at 18 weeks and the baby was doing some major dance moves and they couldn't tell!
I'm going to CMC cause I heard it's amazing. I also work in Manchester and I figured it would be nice to be close to the hospital where my doctors are if I have anything go wrong at work.

I've been trying to get from MA to CT for the last 2 weekends bc my fam wants to take me baby shopping. I've had to cancel each time. It sucks. I'm making a run for it tomorrow and hoping I don't get stuck. It seems this storm may be bad, but in spurts, so will make a mad dash back Sunday afternoon. I'm going stir-crazy at home. I'd really like to start on the nursery but it's too cold to paint and that's the first thing we need to do! Also, everyone is constantly afraid I'm going to slip and fall or get into a car accident in this weather. I don't disagree, but it's causing me anxiety! Lastly, my best winter jacket no longer zips up over my belly. And I'm not about to spend $200 on a new North Face jacket to get me through the next month... But it's 4 degrees today. Sigh. /rant!
