I know you aren't supposed to compare, but I'm worried about my LO so I'm going to compare anyways. How does your LO move?

Re: Crawling

  • My LO was born 4/16 and just this week started crawling for real, meaning that he can travel by crawl now. For a long time he would get in the crawling position and only move each hand/knee once then sit, over and over until he was where he wanted to be.

  • My lo is crawling but he is the first of my 3 to actually crawl. My 1st only army crawled, my 2nd only did a goofy crawl on 2 hands and 1 foot. I wouldn't be worried if I were you.
  • Not crawling. He leans onto his hands from sitting and sometimes gets a knee in position, but that's it. He does spin around on his butt and can propel backwards with his arms while on his tummy. I'm sure it's coming!
  • Mine has been army crawling for about 2 months- I don't think she'll get to 'real' crawling; she's pretty fast army crawling!
  • My LO started crawling the week he hit 9 months. DD didn't crawl until 12 months. I think she was dragging herself around at 11 months. In retrospect, it was nice that she crawled (and walked) later. She could sit up at about 6 months and so from 6 - 11 months she was content to sit. So much less stress! But I worried too even though there was no need.
  • DD is full blown crawling/pulling up/standing. My friends kid is about a month older than her and just started crawling and he is still army crawling. Some kids don't ever crawl. Try not to worry! Is your LO meeting all the other milestones?
  • DS is doing the bum scoot.  He hates being on his belly so won't even try getting up on all 4's.  He just sits on his bum and pulls himself around.

    Liam is the same way!

He also just started trying to walk with his walker. He's Still VERY cautious, though.

Early April baby, cruising furniture and walking with walker.

DD refuses to use the walker, I think it rolls too fast for her because she leans on it. Just last night she stood unassisted for 30 seconds and the other day she took a quick step unassisted from one piece of furniture to another. Its happening waaaaay too fast. I wish she was just learning to crawl.

  • DD army crawls like nobody's business, lol. Last week ,she just started to occasionally crawl on all fours. She can pull herself up though and walk along furniture too.

  • Aiden just started crawling really well this past week, but army crawled on occasion since just before 9 months. He loves to push his musical table around and walk with that, but hates the walker since it gets away from him too quickly!

  • One is on hands and knees and the other just started army crawling this week. They were 5 weeks early and born March 6. I'm not worried.

  • No crawling or pulling up of any sort here. DD was 4 weeks early. She does push up with her hands/arms and turn all the way around in a circle then roll to where ever it is that she wants to go. She can actually get pretty far going from room to room that way.
  • Thanks for the feedback. My LO was born mid-April and is still army crawling. I'm trying not to worry too much, especially since my oldest started walking at 14 months, but it's hard not to. Thanks again for the feedback! :)

  • I hope this isn't bc I just posted my LO is finally "crawling". All babies are so dif and she is def just army crawling. She doesn't get into a sitting position or pull up yet. I honestly thought she was just gonna skip crawling and be a late walker but then all of a sudden she started dragging herself around last night. Try not to worry!

Same. My kid army crawls and he's pretty efficient so I don't know if he motivated to try moving other ways right now lol.

  • DD doesn't crawl. She rolls to her back and scoots. She gets super pissed on her stomach. It makes me worry even though I know all babies move at their own pace.

  • Olivia is crawling, on all 4's, but will still army crawl because she's faster that way lol.  She is cruising on furniture, will use her walker, and has walked back and forth from DH and myself.  Has taken a few un assisted steps from furniture piece to furniture piece.  We're pretty close to walking, she would do better, but she gets so excited she tries to go too fast!
