  I actually just booked a photo session with our newborn photographer for the day after his birthday.  Probably cute things like balloons, and possibly a cake, but definitely just nice pictures with us holding him.

  
  

  I think with your girls a few themed shots/outfits would be incredibly precious.

  We'll do ours with the photographer we used for our newborn shoot. For DS1, we did a bunch of outside pics of just him in a cute outfit and some of us with him. Then we did a cake smash at the end.

  My photographer wants to do a tea party shoot with DD. We'll so some without those props too, hopefully outside.

  I was just going to do them myself, having LO eat a cupcake, but reading this thread made me think I might take him to the Superstore and do a photo shoot there. They have tons of props like a giant number one and such.

  I love the tea party idea - if my girls cooperated It is still cold here in March, so we will be inside for sure but the cherry blossom shoot sounds darling!

  First birthday photo shoot with photographer that did her newborn shots.  I have a cute outfit picked out for her.  Hopefully we can do it somewhere outside - the weather around here in April is iffy - could be 30 or could be 80.

  DS was 4 weeks early (3/12) so mine are around the corner too.  We are doing a cake smash I think (cloth dipe, party hat, balloons in the background), but also going to do just a few in a cute outfit or two and a few family shots.  Same with the weather here - doubt we'll be doing any outside, but maybe if it's a nice day.
