foul smelling vag fluid

Does anyone else have this problem? I kno there is supposed to be an increase in vag fluid in 2nd Trimester but this smells terrible and soaks through my underwear and pants sometimes. Then to add on now sex seems painful. Sometimes its a horrible burning that lasts for 30 min or longer and sometimes just a little burning. But I always use lube and even penetration is not good. I feel like ive had this all for weeks but lots more noticeable now. Seeing dr tomorrow.

It sounds like you could have a yeast infection. I had one with DD and with a little OTC medicine it was all better. Or possibly vaginitis. Both are very easy to treat they are just a pain. Good thing you are seeing your Dr tomorrow....s/he will be able to tell you for certain.
Please excuse typos....auto correct hates me. =)

  • Thanks mr spark. And that was kind of rude laura I was just concerned and I think you knew what I meant. Wondered if anyone else had this problem. I actually thought it might be bacterial vaginosis which can be common in pregnant population and if not treated can lead to miscarriage or preterm labor. I tested my vaginal ph level with a strip and its unusually high. Just waiting to see dr.
  • Has anyone has bacterial vaginosis?
  • Has anyone has bacterial vaginosis?

Lots of people on this board have had lots of symptoms but that doesn't mean what they had is what you have.
  • Im not stupid. why is everyone being rude?

I am not being rude. As people have suggested if you are truly this concerned you might get better, more trustworthy answers by calling your doctor's office. Many OBs have a nurse call line designed to answer questions just like this

Nobody has been rude to you.

  • Pretty sure it's a bacterial infection your Dr has to prescribe an antibiotic for that it's def not going to go away on its own. They do the test in office and if it's more than that they'll let you know
  • Sounds like BV. Yeast infections don't cause a smell. I had bv and had to take two rounds of antibiotics and two doses of diflucan afterwards. I even took probiotics and ate more yogurt to avoid that. Knock on wood all is good now. Talk to your doc and hopefully it clears up for you with antibiotics.
  • Actually the two girls were being rude, if she wanted to write it that way then so be it, don't reply if your going to be Nasty and if you don't like the sound of it, I suggest you take yourself else where the girl was only looking advice, try to be nicer.
And yes your doc will give you a prescription and I it should clear up :)

How was I rude telling her the term is vaginal discharge. Seriously.
  • Not in telling her what the term was, in the way you and the other girl spoke about it and how she 'gagged' (which I'm sure was vastly over-exaggerated) it was mocking and in my opinion it was rude. All she wanted was advice, not to be corrected for the way she chose to phrase something.

If you put something out there for strangers to see and comment on be prepared to be corrected. If people can't deal with someone correcting a term... Or someone expressing that the term "vag fluid" makes them gag, maybe posting things to a complete set of strangers isn't the best thing to do. Specially when we are not being rude...
  • The purpose of being able to post is so anyone can get advice and support or just talk, correcting someone (if necessary) can be done in a friendly manner and that wasn't the way you or the other girl made it seem, I'm not getting into a silly back and forth with you, we're all here to be pleasant with each other, let's leave it at that.

I'm ever so sorry I must be pleasant to everyone in this community, I'll start by spreading rainbow farts and glitter slaps. Please, if you think that's unpleasant behaviour then I dread to think what would happen if god forbid someone was rude to you or anyone else -.-
  • Pregnancy sure is "earthy"!
  • Well the thing is any one can be unpleasant, personally (when I deem it appropriate) I choose to confront people who are rude to me in order to resolve a situation; in this case you were rude to someone else and I stepped in. This site I'm sure promotes respect and a friendly manner, I am not telling you to be friendly or anything else for that matter, I was simply explaining to you that we're all here to be pleasant and civil with each other and it's quite apparent that you don't understand that. I have said my part and our discussion is over. Best of luck in your future conversations :)

With a quick google search yeast infection, BV, and Chylamydia Pop up. I had BV in my first pregnancy and didn't have symptoms to that extreme.
  • Panty liners are a girls best friend during pregnancy. For whatever discharge may come... and I know I'm not the only one who leaks a little when I cough/sneeze.. just sayin X_X

Preach!!! Third pregnancy....pee my pants problems!

  • You didn't have to correct her then, it bothered you and you voiced that and your rude attitude bothered me and I voiced it, you're contradicting yourself, and cursing is only diminishing what you thought was a valid point even more. Now I suggest you let it go, it's been discussed and everyone has had their say.
  • Alrighty hunny
  • sounds like BV, but you need to see an MD to confirm and get and Rx for it.   there is an increase of vaginal discharge, vaginal biological fluid, vaginal secretions, vaginal juices...etc with pregnancy, but there shouldn't be an odor with it.
  • Aren't we all here to find and give support? So if something makes you gag oh well. We are all grown women experiencing gross changes to our body. Cant we give appropriate and comforting advice to one another? I mean isnt that why we are all here in the first place? To find comfort and answers and support? #vagfluid
sounds like BV. Drugstores like cvs have an at home screening kit where it tests your ph levels by inserting a plastic strip inside your vagina and depending on the color it comes out and the color chart it will tell you if your ph level in your vagina is normal, if it could be a yeast or a bv or something more serious. :)
  • I'm just gonna leave this here

Don't know if that actually worked but for anyone who can see it, you get my point
  • No I think people in this community need to man the fuck up or leave because it's pathetic. Also why couldn't she use the fucking SEARCH BAR and search vaginal discharge! This community has gone to shit because of many reasons, and the main one people asking stupid questions. Or people crying bully or rude, it's boring. Now you have something to moan about :) you're welcome
She couldn't search because she didnt even know its called vaginal discharge.

All everyone wants now is rainbows and puppies... This is getting ridiculous.

  • Thank you emma and others for your support it is nice to know there are some polite women who care and I appreciate it very much! Thank you again. I go to the doctor today to figure out what's going on :)
  • I suspect BV which can be very painful and if u have had symptoms for weeks can get pretty bad. I'd see your doc asap for treatment. Good luck and feel better!
