  I think when people have posted about specific areas in the past the suggestion is to find the board for that location. Personally I am not interested in something like this because of how many internet creepsters are out there.

  Nope. I'm in NY. I would find your local board or a local mom group. Most hospitals have them.

  I started a playgroup locally by starting a FB page and posting it to the local FB groups. You will probably have more success finding local moms that way.

  It's usually more normal for people who are in a BMB to meet up if they are local. They usually know each other better.
