Husband Birthday Gift

Does anyone have any good ideas on a good gift for H? We have a babysitter from 5-12 on Saturday night, so I was thinking about surprising him and doing something fun but I can't think of any good ideas. If I don't do that, we will just do dinner but then I'd like to get him something cool for his birthday. We never make a big deal out of his birthday so I want him to be happy this year. I looked up subscription boxes and local groupon activities and so far nothing that was like "yes!" Would love to hear things you ladies have done!

    This isn't a big present or super sexy, but DH uses Dollar Shave Club and loves it!

    Another thing I've done for him is to get a gift certificate for an activity he loves solo, so he can have a break. There is a community golf course close to us that he uses when he has some down time, so I've done that.

    In terms of something to do together, what about a comedy club? We went to The Second City for NYE and it was so fun to do something different!

    I second the comedy club.  My DH and I have gone a few times and it is always such an awesome date. 

    I once gave DH a subscription for Playboy and he was in awe. 

    Otherwise maybe a girftcard to golf somewhere with a friend, tickets to something fun, or go somewhere to eat somewhere a little different?

    I am the world's worst gift giver for my DH but I got him to great gifts this past year. He loves golf so I got him a Gps golf watch for his birthday and he's a huge Patriots fan so I got him a Tom Brady jersey. He it presents were huge hits. They were a hit more pricey than I normally spend but he's taken such good care of me that I thought I'd go big. And we never get out for date nights so it was really the only gifts he got.

    I always struggle with birthday presents too. Last year for fathers day, I got him tickets to a baseball game. It was cool because it was DS's first game. 

    Other date night ideas---painting with a twist (painting while drinking alcohol), sky zone (one of those trampoline places if you have one nearby), casino (if you have one nearby), dave and busters (if you have a place like that nearby) bowling or if you have a melting pot or other fondue place. Fondue takes a while but it is fun to do and just sit and hang out.

    Thanks everyone! I think the plan is gokarts/black light mini golf, take him to the mall to buy him a hat or whatever he wants but won't take 5 minutes to buy, dinner, and either a billiards lounge or something similar. Still working on it... I'd do a comedy club but he specifically said he doesn't want to go into the city, so I think that's out.
