Good for you! I am as well and have an amazing doctor known for them in my area. The vbac board is kind of dead on here which stinks. Hopefully you like the doctor you meet, I would try and find lots of reviews on that particular doctor because sometimes they are pro vbac to your face and then want to induce you at 40 weeks. Let me know how it goes! Are you getting a doula as well?
My ican chapter has been helpful I'm just paranoid of getting the bait and switch and ending up with rcs. I only had a cs with ds because he was frank breech and my hospital doesn't allow vaginal breech deliveries. ..or vbacs so that's why the search is on.
I am also getting a doula, I have one in mind I just need to meet up with her to see if we click. It's all so exciting and scary! I never got to go into labor last time.

Yes the bait and switch is common and scary. Your doula should be able to recommend good vbac friendly doctors, all the doulas I interviewed in my area recommended the same dr and then I met with him and was very impressed. Hopefully you find an amazing doctor and with a doula by your side it just all feels more possible.
I am hoping for a vbac and my doctor is the one who 1st suggested it even though I got pregnant much too soon from my cs ( not on purpose) but she still feels it can be done. Good luck I'm anxious as well.
We are trying for a VBAC. When we mentioned it to or Dr she was on board. Said I would have to do some extra testing to make sure the risks are low but she was receptive which was really nice. Also said that if we ended up having to induce that the risks escalate a lot but we can try.
We are! We are hoping/planning for a home birth VBAC, but we will see how the pregnancy goes as to whether or not I am a good candidate for the home VBAC. We planned a home birth with my first but we had to have a csection because she was frank breech. I have a Midwife again this time, and she's fantastic. Very encouraging and supportive. The only factor working against me really, is if I develop Gestational Diabetes again. So, here's hoping I can prevent that. Even if I have to have a VBAC in the hospital, I'm fine with that. I just want to be able to have a TOL and if the TOL fails, and I end up with another csection, so be it, but at least I had the chance to try, is my thinking.

That's awesome! I thought about trying at home but my husband isn't comfortable with it which I get. Hopefully you don't develop gestational diabetes and everything goes well!!

I feel the same way about getting a tol. My son was frank breech so I'm hoping for smooth sailing this time. I had some protein in my urine the last few weeks and high bp but never developed pre e.
The Dr we met yesterday seems like a good match for us and did a free ultrasound but it was too early for him to officially determine gender. I also went to a birth chat event and met my possible doula so I'm excited!
I am as well! My son was not a planned c-section and it wasn't that my body couldn't deliver so my doctor thinks I'll be a good candidate for a vbac. Fingers crossed for all of us!
We are as well! :-) I am actually planning my second vbac. I had a c-sec with my twins in 2010 ( origanally we were supposed to deliver natural but one was frank breech). Then I gave birth to my son in 2013 via vbac and went beautifully. I am due at the end of July and plan on vbac again. I wouldn't have it another way. In Neb. they wont allow home vbacs (although I would love that). My only problem no is that I have a herniated disk from an old injury in 2010 thatacts up every now and again. My husband is worried that since it has already acted up once during this pregnancy ( only 14wks so far) that the docs my prevent me from doing a natural birth, saying it will cause too much pressure on my back. I will do anything to not have a c-sec again.
