DIY Saturday

hello ladies,
Hoping anyone else with a DIY project will join in! Post pics if you want but you don't have to. Let us know what you are working on!

My little project today
I am taking random glass jars, gluing small plastic animals into the top and painting the top and animal. They are great for gifts and cute with candy in them! I plan to use them for cotton balls, q tips and other little necessities. They are super cheap to make because you just use glass jars you would normally toss (or recycle). You can get the animals at any dollar store. I am attaching pictures hopefully it works! I used a gold pen to accent the side of the top too!

  • Those are cute! I love diy stuff. I haven't done anything today except sit on my arse. BUT I have a few things I have done recently. I plan on breast feeding so I made nursing pads as well as a nursing cover, burp cloths and with the leftover fabric from those, I've made a taggie security blanket. At the beginning of December when we found out we were having a boy I crocheted a blanket, hat and booties.
  • I'm working on a blanket for our little girl too, crocheting it
  • Phone won't let me add a pic but I finished up a mobile for baby girl's room.
  • Crafty mamas!
  • I haven't been able to craft since we are in the middle of all the moving! In the next few weeks I plan to paint my DDs room and repaint their dressers and beds. Also I am sanding down and painting a small dresser I got for the baby. I will definitely post pics and participate in this when I get back to my project!

  • We are almost finished remodeling our master bath. Without new shower doors, we were able to upgrade flooring, light fixtures, sink, countertop, paint, and trim for under $1000 (with husband doing all the work). He is having his hip replaced on Feb 2nd so we wanted it done by then. It was hideous with blue countertops and brown carpet (carpet in a bathroom?!) so I'm pleased with our progress thus far. image
  • Hate the fact that it won't let me put any pictures on here from my phone :(
Was gonna share my Dr Seuss tree I made for Ellas room..
Won't let me click "choose file"
  • Here we go! Dr Seuss tree!

    Thank you :) !!
  • Made these little woodland animals for the mobile in the nursery! Even dd (whose 7) was able to help cut the felt and hand sew them together with me :)!
  • I had a DIY sunday, since it's my day off (:
Saw a a frame with clothes pins at pier one and it was $45.
So I went to michaels next door and made a similar one for only $10!

I did exactly the same thing with a huge frame and decoupaged the clothes pins! Came out awesome!

It's adorable I love the raccoon! So creative!
  • My husband said if the Seahawks win the Super Bowl, we can have a puppy. We've been fostering for rescue for years. It is finally our turn to keep one!

So I've been taking advantage of my insomnia to stock up my etsy store. But my fabric matching game, which has been a true labor of love, decided to throw up all over my laundry room. I wanted the fringes, but not the mess. My 13 month old daughter is enamored with the playing pieces though, so it is sortof worth it. DIY Saturday turned into cleanitallup Sunday.
