High Risk Check-In 1/23

Hey there,
How has your week been? What's new? Any appointments? Anything big coming up?

GTKY What movie are you most looking forward to sharing with your LO?

My week has been ok, still on bed rest. Went to OB on Tuesday, it went ok. He lectured me about being more diligent with bed rest since my last scan showed I lost length in my cervix again. I have a toddler so that's easier said than done. Passed the GTT so that's good. Weight gain has slowed down too, which whatever. I don't really care about anyways. Next appointment is with OB in 2 weeks, and ultrasound in 2 weeks as well. He's also going to give me the shot for LO's lungs as a precaution at 30w.

GTKY I can't wait til my girls are old enough to watch Grease with me and sing along and learn all the words. Can. Not. Wait.

Re: High Risk Check-In 1/23

  • My OB had a sit down with me last appointment and told me she wants a detailed birth plan from the hematologist.  How long I should be off of thinners before induction, what to do if I have contractions before my induction date.  If I need a c-section or go into labor early if I need blood reserves on hand.  If they need to start clotting medication and how much. She went on and on.  Now I'm feel a lot more nervous than I was.  And to top it all off my high risk appointment US showed baby is breech right now.  Great.  One day at a time.

I can't wait to see DD with LO.  I'm so excited to share my experiences with DD with the new LO.

  • I have an appointment Monday and I'm sure I'll have to schedule the dreaded GD test. I can't wait to share the movie mulan with my little girl. I wish H would be able to go with me to this appointment. Not because anything is really happening but because it would have been the last one he could go to. He's deploying soon and may miss the birth. As excited as I am to meet our LO in not ready to basically go it alone.
@knjzacher‌ I love that movie! Definitely a classic. Good luck with bed rest it sounds difficult :/
@topaz7777‌ try not to worry, I know easier said than done. FX that everything works out. Just take it one day at a time.
@rachellewaiting‌ hopefully your cervix continues to grow. Try uping your liquid intake I have heard that it can help with the fluid level.
  • Had my 14th progesterone injection Thursday. Found out I'm getting a new home health nurse for my injections. Makes me so sad.

I have an appt with OB and MFM on Thursday 1/29. It's my 30 week appointment. This is my freak out scary appt. This is when I delivered my son. I have an ultrasound and a cervical length check via transvaginal ultrasound.

Just so ready to be 30w1d. I've never been that pregnant.

    I'm 29w1d.

Looking foward to sleeping in this weekend and getting the nursery done.
  • Sending good thoughts and prayers to all of you going through bed rest, cervix shortening, and other complications. Pregnancy for high risk ladies is always scary and just trying to get through another day is hard enough.

How has your week been? What's new? Any appointments? Anything big coming up?
I started having mild contractions on Thursday that continued into the night, but they stopped, so everything is good now. I have what I am sure is a sinus infection coming on, so trying to get over that. Had my 2nd BPP this week and baby looked good. I also got my TDap booster shot. This coming week I go back into the perinatologist to get my glucose levels checked for my GD and they have been creeping up again, so the threat of insulin is greater. Praying they settle back down.

GTKY What movie are you most looking forward to sharing with your LO? I love the Harry Potter movies and LOTR movies, so I am probably most excited for my kids to be old enough to enjoy those as well.

  • hi ladies! I am currently on hospital bed rest due to a placenta previa bleed on Thursday night at 27w6d. Got my two doses of steriods and my rhogam shot. Right now if I don't bleed again I get to go home on Monday on modified bed rest. I expected this since I got my placenta previa diagnosis but it was still shocking/scary and I really just feel guilty for not being able to help with my DD, dog, home, etc.

I am supposed to have an OB appt on Tuesday but due to snow I might not make it. Other than that, nothing else going on.

@knjzacher‌ So sorry to hear about your cervical length.

@topaz7777‌ I wanted to let you know that my baby just turned a few days ago so you have plently of time for your baby to move!

@rachellewaiting so sorry about your leakage and time in L&D. I can def relate.

  • How has your week been? Stressful! I've been having contractions since wed morning. Finally went in to my doctor Friday morning and he checked me out, my cervix is still closed. Thank god but he ran a ton of tests and told me to be prepared to go to the hospital Monday.
GTKY What movie are you most looking forward to sharing with your LO? The wizard of OZ! I loved that movie growing up!
