Re: Spitting up and night time feedings?

  • Maybe tonight has been worse then other because he is hitting his three week growth spurt and is cluster feeding. I'm just scared he is going to choke if I put him down. He is def getting a lot of air when he is BF because I can hear it and he is drinking so fast. I haven't slept at all tonight ..... It's been rough!

  • I'm in the same boat, Lincoln drinks so fast and I have a fast let done so he has to drink fast and he spits up/vomits quite a bit and my biggest fear is putting him down on his back and him spitting up and choking, so I just try burp him and put him down and just end up watching him from bed. Thank goodness for the co-sleeper so I can see him without having to get up!
So I don't have any advice but I sympathise
  • I don't really have any advice, but just to say I went through something similar with DD. She would always be spitting up but often she would vomit most of her feed. I was so paranoid about going to sleep in the night and used to watch her a lot. It was so exhausting! Same in the daytime, I would be afraid to leave her to have a shower in case she was sick. After about 4 months she was diagnosed dairy intolerant and after sorting that out she changed completely. So if you think that your baby is sick far more than is normal let your health visitor know incase it's due to an intolerance and something you can try and investigate. Good luck!
