Can we start a *safe place* for TMI discussions?

Come on, I know this crowd of pregnant ladies, going through all these weird and wonderfully new bodily functions could use a little place to kvetch or question today's discharge/leakage/gas/bodily fluid change/bowel movement (or lack thereof).... am-i-right?

I'm going to assume I am right, and just start this thread now.

I have a hard time wiping after going #2. My torso is too short to twist back now with my belly, and I can barely get my t-rex arms around to the back. WTF am I going to do as I get further along?!?!

this. and it's getting worse. not sure how the next 4 months are going to do down. I already had to ask my DH to trim my Wolf Puss and it was the least erotic event ever.

also, my actual labia are getting fat...I read it gets more swollen in time. FUN!

This is my current TMI issue. My digestive system has generally been cooperating with me in the 2nd trimester. However, I just cannot poop when I have a hospital roommate. My digestive tract is all messed up by some psycho-sommatic terror of sharing a tiny bathroom with another person, and all of her guests, where everyone is just going to *know* if I go in to poop.

And now my tummy is starting to hurt, but my body refuses to cooperate, because it feels like I'm pooping in front of an audience.

Up until now, the longest I've had a roommate was 3-4 days. My current roommate should be here for the next 2 weeks. Whatever shall I do? However will I go?

OMG - I think my labia are getting fat too, but my belly is too big to see them, and there is only a small mirror in the bathroom at the hospital.

I suppose I could take a picture with my phone to check - but that seems like a very bad idea.

My labia are also out of control (never thought I'd type that sentence....)! They are too much for my regular underwear but I'm way too lazy/cheap to buy new ones for this last month. I'm glad I can't see them anymore!

Hemorrhoids. Biggies. My digestion has been totally messed up since the very beginning so I've had the hemorrhoids for months now. Ugh.

I'm sure I could do better than this on a different day, but all I can think about at the moment is: HOLY HELL LIGHTNING CROTCH!!!!!! WTF is that crap?!?!?!?!?!? I nearly collapsed on my way to my car today.

And now I know that the change in shape of my lady parts isn't in my imagination. Wow. Will pregnancy wonders never cease?

I'm with you ladies on the swollen lady bits. And I'm pretty sure I've got a yeast infection now cuz I've been on antibiotics since Monday. So picture those two together....

I had a swollen va jay jay a lot in my last trimester last time! It's really not enjoyable!

There with the swollen lady bits too, but more my mons than labia. I guess I assume the labia is a little disturbed with pad itch. For those of you not allergic to every adhesive they use on pads and liners, this is the itch rash like thing that happens at the very edge of the pad. It is very hard to determine if it's a full fledged yeast or bacterial thing or just irritation. :-w I hated my pads before during periods and though I was going to be able to get away from them... dammmitttt.

Oh, and for the ladies with reach issues, they make wipers for people who have just had back surgeries. (My Mom's had 3 so far, surgeries not wipers.) You can put toilet paper or personal cleaning clothes in them. Just check in a medical equipment store.

@Robeano - I got a yeast infection when I was on antibiotics too - good times. My OB prescribed a topical treatment - but when I got to the hospital, they just gave me a single oral treatment to knock it out. (Not generally recommended - but I think they were worried about infection w/ PPROM).

@AmCheri - I know I can get solace easily if I ask for it. If the situation doesn't improve by tomorrow I will.

@turquoisequeen - Poo pourri is a great idea. I'll tell DH. I just hope we don't get the snow storm they are predicting, or I'll have to wait for my savior a bit longer.

@Canuck13 - I am lucky enough to not have first hand knowledge of lightning crotch - but from what I've read, its miserable.

LOVE this...was actually going to make a post about the wiping issue. It's hard to wipe after I poop..and because of the swollen-ness I feel like when wipe after I pee the toilet paper get sticks and I'm constantly bare-handing which is just plane awful!!

@AMShark - yes - VERY bad idea taking a photo - you never know what could happen...while I wouldn't categorize myself as conservative in any way, in general I am a STRONG believer in NEVER taking pics like that... no good can come!

Is there a bathroom down the hall you can use? Or maybe just go when she is sleeping/doesn't have guests (I know it isn't like you can go on command)... Keep in mind she will also have to go at some point... I know it is awkward but it's one of those things... also - make sure there is air freshener or something in there in the event someone uses the restroom right after you - makes it less awkward.

I am very happy to hear I am not the only one with swollen lady bits! I thought it was from my pelvic separation!

I only started having this problem this week but I am definitely leaking a little when I sneeze or cough. The first time it happened was the other night in bed when I was almost asleep - out of no where I had a big sneeze - and then I was like 'oh' - DH asked what was wrong and I told him I peed a little. To his credit he just said - keep it on your side - he was asleep and didn't realize what he said - I told him in the am and we cracked up - LOL. It was just a tiny drop or two and I had a liner on but still wasn't happy about it. I have been so diligent about my Kegels too! I guess at this point though these things will happen.

@AMShark‌ poo pourri really works. I have used it successfully on business trips before where I had a roommate.

I am still early for a lot of the gross stuff from the first time around. But I will get there. I am a realist.

Wiping is definitely uncomfortable. I can't see my lady bits so who the hell knows. The lady that waxes me must know...

My tmi contribution is about the crazy amounts of discharge going on down below!!!! So I don't do well with full-back undies because I have the amazing panty-eating ass...so I wear thongs. Liners and thongs not so much a good combo. I've even tried the liners made for thongs but they don't work. I've pretty much resigned myself to needing to toss out ALL my undies once I'm past the postpartum craziness.

And holy dark areolas!!!!!!!!

I'm with you @Ecarabeo217‌ the amount of discharge is astounding! And it never fails to start as soon as I place a nice fresh pair of undies on. Of course, when I think ahead and use a liner, the discharge seems to stay away.

Also, I've been farting like a beast. It's so hard to squeeze/silence them at work. I resort to finding vacant restrooms and letting them rip when I can. And it's not like I'm constipated. I typically go at least once a day. :-w

I'm on endometrian suppositories and estrace. So right now I have blue smurf discharge. It's tons of fun.

@gsancho‌, I had the same problem with my daughter! The only thing that made it easier was delivering her. Lol. I remember when I was pregnant thinking that if I can throw myself into it, I can reach back there! Hahahahahha @pblge, you aren't alone. I get the zaps, too. So uncomfortable!

The discharge is starting to get annoying now. and using the panty liners now cause me some irritation.

I have a funny TMI story from last pregnancy. During my third trimester, usually I would leak a little but once I leaked from the back, and was wondering why I can smell poo. Didn't realize it was me.

Omg. This thread is making me laugh hysterically because...honestly...I can relate to all these posts except maybe lightning crotch which I hope never to experience. My contribution is the darn peeing sneeze. It has happened one too many times but the worst is in the morning, standing in my kitchen making breakfast, wearing only my after-shower wrap. That's tight. Peed down my leg!!! How gross and embarrassing. At least DH is usually asleep and hasn't witnessed it. But, even pee sneezing wearing clothes and a liner is a mess.

So update on my TMI, after a bath this evening everything was quite sore. So I asked hubby if he wouldn't mind taking a look at it (seeing as I can't see anything down there lol) and let's just say I totally scarred my husband. And he told me "oh my gosh, I understand why you haven't wanted to have sex in a while" lol!
