We've been even more dead than usual lately! I've been so busy with work I'll admit I've mainly lurked. How about we check in with who's still around and list a couple things about what's new or new to come in the new year.So obviously I'm still around here and there.
- I was finally allowed to hire a new employee so I'll have help now, and will be able to step back and breath a bit. It's only been a week, but I already feel more rested.
- DH and I are still trying for #2. Keep your fingers crossed because DH is off for training March for half the year. Only this cycle and then one more before we have to wait until fall to try again!!
- My best friend and also BIL are getting married this year and each are on opposite ends of the country, so I have 2 big trips to make this year!
- DD will be starting a tumbling/gymnastics class in a few weeks. She likes swimming, but the classes for her age group don't mesh well with our schedule so we found this instead. I think she'll like it.
- DH was asked by his preferred unit if he wanted to transfer to them after his final course this year, so we might be moving again. It's not a major move and we'd only be going about an hour west, but we're still very excited for it.
Re: Roll call and check in!!!
First off, the title of this thread totally made my head go here:

We still haven't conceived #2 yet either and am thinking about taking a break from TTC to try and get myself in shape again. This weekend I had the flu so DD has been staying at my in laws Friday night and my parent's Saturday. We were going to bring her home today and when I called, she said she wanted to stay at grammy's. Um...okay. Guess I'm having more separation anxiety than she is. hahaha
We're planing a trip to Florida in February to see sil and her family who moved this summer.
I've been making new friends though my mood groups for me and my boys. Lucas has a new best buddies which is so cute! Nathan my 4 year old is in upk so we drop him off at 9-11:45 daily so Lucas and I have been taking advantage of that and enjoying shopping just us
I just switched all of Lucas's clothes to 3t I xsnt believe my baby in 3t already
We're looking into preschools for the fall. Stressing over whether to send her to one that seems a better fit for her right now, but then she might have to changes schools if we get UPK when she's 4 (it's a lottery in our district because there isn't enough funding), or we could put her in our second choice that offers UPK so she could stay in the same school for both years (but if we don't get one of the UPK slots, I'll be mad that we didn't just put her in the school we like better). It's only 2 mornings a week but I feel like I'm getting ready to send her off to college! LOL
I'm finally trying to focus more on myself now -- getting out with friends, getting healthier, etc. Thankfully, DH is on board with me having more "me" time since I've barely had any since DD was born.
We also sat down and really detailed all of our financial and other goals (home improvement, etc) for the next few years and mapped them out with a timeline, which makes me feel less stressed now that we at least have a plan for all of the things on our to-do list.
Now that there is this app, I will probably check in some more here. I go on the Preemie board a few times a week, so will probably do the same here.
Adalyn is doing great. She will be turning 3 in a few weeks. She is recently potty trained and DH and I are super excited about it!!! She has also started gymnastics at school, and will start dance this Thursday. She still has a speech delay and will continue to receive services through the county school district when she ages out of EI, but she is improving every week. Here is a pic of Adalyn from when DH visited during her gymnastics class

DS is in preschool three mornings a week now, we have music class one morning, and try to make it to story time the other morning. So like some others, our mornings are pretty full. Afternoons definitely drag on, though. He is getting a little better at entertaining himself, but still wants a playmate most of the time and since he is currently an only child, I win.
I am 37 weeks pregnant, so DD should be here any time now. I am definitely ready. This pregnancy has seemed soooo much longer than with DS.
It's nice to see so many updates! We don't have much planned for the next year. We talk about moving again but I'm due with DD2 in May (yay for May babies) so we're staying put for now.
We did some big traveling over the holidays and don't have any more trips planned until July.
