Sassy 4 year old.

I have a sassy, over dramatic (just turned) 4 year old girl. Everything is a whine and turns into her screaming: no veggies, the dog bumped her, she wants to watch tv. I just wanted to see if anyone else has the same situation at home or I'm dealing with a special situation. It's very tiring to pretty much be constantly fighting with her about not whining, talking in a nice voice, or just to stop making everything into a drama. (If we play barbies for 15/20 minutes and I say times up or I need to tend to something else she will have a total meltdown in those kind of situations. She can always play alone but usually will say she can't and just whine or start throwing a tantrum. ) no matter what I do she wont take naps and gets up in the morning just to scream and whine at everyone. I'm getting frustrated and not sure what to do at this point.

    Oh no, I have it here too. My girl will be 4 in a few months and it's been this way for a bit now. My 5 year old went through this last year too, I was pulling my hair out. Pre K really helped reel her in. Like in am amazing way. The teacher told me some ways she taught the kids to calm down and my 5 yo actually does it and thinks before she reacts more often than not. I'm working on it with the almost 4 yo too. One thing is "Is it a big problem or little problem?" And count like Tinkerbell does (or various other characters do to calm down) and it's making a teeny dent.
