Membrane Sweep

Ok so this is my 3rd baby but the first time I've ever had a sweep. Had my sweep exactly 24hours ago and Sorry for the tmi, but I lost some of my plug last night, woke up this morning and lost a lot more of my plug and now I've been steadily losing a little bit more bit by bit throughout the day. Does this mean labour will be following soon or will my body just stop after the plugs been expelled? Haven't had much pains, just the usual BH tightenings and pain in my lower back. So I was wondering what are other peoples experiences with membrane sweeps? And if they were effective how long did it take for anything to happen?

    This is my 4th baby. I got swept last week, and again this last Monday. I've been contracting for 8 days now, and loosing chunks of my plug daily, sometimes multiple times during the day.
    I'm still pregnant.

    @LaBellaVida‌ our stories sound identical! When are you due? My due date was Jan 21.

    I had a sweep on the 29th of dec, lost my mucus plug the next day, had a baby on the 1st.

    I had a sweep yesterday (due tomorrow), but can't tell if I lost my plug or not. I showered today and saw something (large and dark brown) quickly go down the drain when I rinsed my nethers, but it may have been clotted blood from sleeping that fell out.... I've been lightly spotting brown, but nothing more interesting (and of course the interesting bit I missed! I could have posted a picture ;) Damn it, next time I guess). I did have continuous tightening feeling contractions yesterday that totally wiped me out, I slept for 14 non-continuous hours last night, and am still exhausted today. FX all of our sweeps work and we'll have babies by this weekend!
