Car seat installation help

i have a 2008 Toyota Rav 4. I want to switch to forward facing seatbelt installation. I'd like to do the middle seat but I couldn't get a secure fit. There was wiggle room. The owners manual says you can use the middle seat and I followed the instructions. I think the seat buckle part is just too long. It made the seat wiggle.
I ended up installing it in the rear passengers side with the seat belt. Where it had been with the latch previously.
Does anyone have experience with the middle of the rav 4?

The RAV4 is a tricky beast. Many seats cannot be installed in the middle simply because it doesn't work. It likely isn't anything you did wrong.

Like PP said, it is tricky.  I would just install on an outboard seat and to get a better install.
