Bought my first can of formula today. Made the mistake of going with the kids so I couldn't spend the 45 minutes it could have easily taken to pick one out. So grabbed a Nestlé follow-up transition that is for 6 month to 24 month olds that is suppose to be a "nutritious transition before introducing cow's milk". Get it home, the second ingredient is corn syrup and corn maltodextrin. WTF? I don't feed my 4 year old corn syrup much less the baby. Is this normal? Do all formulas have corn syrup? How can this be?
Re: Formula virgin question
I'm starting the transition away from breast feeding. Can't handle the work pumping. This product was with all the formulas didn't seem different or special. It was on sale and pretty much the same price as all the other formulas.
Looks like we'll be switching.
We are getting our first Costco... cant wait!
March siggy challenge: Dream job = Playing with wolves
I'm guessing they use regular corn syrup in formula because it has a high glucose content.
