Mastitis with a twist??

I've recently started weaning my son from breastfeeding (this last Saturday)... all I've done is replaced 1 nursing/pumping session with a bottle of formula.

Today I woke up with a sore throat that has gotten more painful throughout the day. Along with that, I have a slight fever hovering just under 101 with some chills here or there and a body ache.

I'm thrown off by the extreme sore throat. I was/am fearing mastitis but have no breast soreness or redness.

I know you can't diagnose me, but anyone experience symptoms not traditionally paired with mastitis but was diagnosed with it?

I've been a lurker of A14 since pretty much the beginning but have only posted a few times so you may not recognize me :)

    When I had it I had body aches fever sweats cold shakes, thought I was dying. Sore lump in breast but I had no redness. What your mentioning sounds more like the bug that has been going around.
