*In light of recent events, I may not have everyone in the correct category (Since some people may be checking in on PB rather then TB, or may be doing so here less often) I did what I could with the posts from the last check-in!* Welcome to the January 2015 Precious Penguins Check-In!!! Check-ins will be every Monday & Thursday. Your check-in leaders are @SweetieShellieH (Monday) and @emmuffy (Thursday).
This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF/IVM or FET with an ER/ET scheduled for January. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle below. Please include what cycle number this is for you, where you are in the process, when you expect to start stims, when you're planning on retrieval and transfer, and when your beta day is! Also, please update us along the way!
I had my ER this morning and I think they told me they retrieved 15 eggs! (They told me when I was just waking up from anesthesia so that's why I say I think ????) so tomorrow we will find out how many fertilized and when ET will be! I am feeling kind of crampy and I'm walking hunched over like an old lady. They said I will be on my prenatals, baby aspirin and I started Erythromycin and Medrol 4x/day. Tomorrow I start the gross Prometrium at night and Endometrin 2x/day.
Sorry for being absent for the past few weeks.
It has been crazy busy times at work. Anyhow, I am still on track and my FET
transfer is scheduled for next Tuesday (Jan 27). Today I had my lining check
and its somewhere between 7 and 7.6mm. We are adding vaginal estrace to the mix
and will do a neupogen wash later this week to further thicken that lining.
Hopefully it will cooperate. Per my immunologist orders I am also getting two
(yes, two!) IVIG infusions on Wednesday and Thursday this week. I really hope
that my cytokine levels come down after these.
Good luck to all and hugs to all who need it

Hey ladies! Today was my last day of stims. My E2 is currently at 4136 (yikes) but the nurse was not concerned. I have responded well to meds and have about 14 follies with the lead at 20. ER scheduled for Wednesday at 7am and I am super nervous but also super excited at the same time. It feels like we have been doing this forever and finally making it to ER just makes it feel SO real!

Hello! Today was ER day for my donor. We got 23 eggs!!! I am so psyched. The embryologist said that 22 of them are excellent quality and he expects us to have "oodles" of embryos. This was better than I could have hoped for. With my past two IVF cycles I had poor response and poor quality eggs/embryos. I started PIO last night and add doxy (ugh) and medrol tomorrow. As of right now I am scheduled for a 5dt on Saturday afternoon. Now I'm getting anxious to hear back tomorrow about how many fertilized. Good luck, ladies

I had my second lining check yesterday and my lining is up to 9.2mm. My RE wants to see if we can get it closer to 10mm, so I am continuing viagra and vaginal estrace. I go back on Thursday for one last lining check and as long as everything looks good, I will start progesterone Thursday for Transfer on Tuesday!
We hit a bump with my immune treatments. I found out Friday that my insurance changed as of 1/1 and that I now need pre-authorization from my insurance for IVIG, which probably means I no longer have coverage. It also means that as of right now I have no way of infusing at home, so I couldn't do a second infusion on Friday. We had to scrample for a back up plan, but I am happy with what we came up with. I upped my prednisone to 20mg and had an intralipid infusion through my RE yesterday (RI doesn't prescribe intralipids since she doesn't feel they have been proven effective). I will have blood work done tomorrow to check immune levels and should have the results back on Friday. We will go from there on whether I should head back to the RI's office in Chicago for a second IVIG infusion (I have two doses of meds left from my first order), or wait until after a positive pregnancy test.
This has turned into another hectic week filled with doctor's appointments and blood draws.

I'm 3dp5dt and having some cramping. I'm hoping it's implantation! I get my stitches out from my surgery tomrrow! Whoo hoo!
@sweetieshellieH - Thanks for keeping this up! Congrats your transfer!
It sounds like there's a lot of progression on the board! The PUPO section is going to be growing very fast!! Congrats to all!
It's kind of sad how quiet our check in is. I made an account on the new site, but I've been on TB for over 10 years and I'm already part of another wonderful january group on another site. I just don't know that I want to add a third. I do hope some of you will stay.
Plugging away with estradriol still. I have my ultrasound on Thursday which will tell me exactly when the transfer is. Nothing too exciting except my date is finally approaching.

@shortstuff I had some cramping around then FX it is a good sign for both of us. When is your beta?
*** warning, BFP and adult child mentioned (not mine) ***
As I posted at the other place, please excuse my inattention here. DH and I had some drama over the weekend. The short version is that his younger son OD'd on heroin and was within a hair's breadth of death Sunday night. Luckily there is a drug that neutralizes heroin within a few hours, so he's fine now.
Aside from the problems with MH's younger son, things are swimming along well here. Beta#2 came back at 1310 at 12dp5dt (was 408 three days earlier), so a doubling time of 42.78 hours. E2 was up to 379 (from 118 only three days ago) and P was up to 38 (from 20 three days ago). Doc says those are looking good. My next appointment is sometime 2/4-2/6 for an ultrasound. I guess that's when we find out how many stuck and maybe see the heartbeat(s). I think it's time for me to intro on PAIF, but I will continue to post here until the Penguins disband and lurk on IF/3TC. Thank you all so much for your support through these trying months! It's meant the world to me.
IVF#1 (w/ICSI): BCP 9/9-9/23. Gonal-F, Ganirelix, Low-dose HCG (antagonist protocol). 41R/35M/32F... 2 transferred on 10/14, 14 frosties! On cabergoline to help avoid OHSS. BFN, possibly because of 90% drop in estrogen and progesterone a few days after ET.
FET#1: Transferring 2 on January 8. BFP! beta#1 (1/17): 408, beta#2 (1/20): 1310, first u/s scheduled 2/5
yay @GoBucksOH good luck tomorrow!

@tweetyknicks im soooo sorry you are going thru the family health crisis. I'm so very glad that your son in law is ok though. and Im super excited for you about the beta!

Hi everyone! Its great to see how many of you are going in for ERs and coming back with such awesome numbers!! Congratulations @tweetyknicks!!! It must be hard to have such a difficult issue going on during what should be a happy time ((hugs)) Tomorrow I go in for another u/s and more b/w in the hopes that they'll tell me I'm ready to trigger on Thursday. My numbers arent as high as a lot of others but they're getting there. It seems like some of you had more eggs retrieved than follicles counted, is that normal?
Married 6/2012. TTC Since 10/2012. Unexplained Infertility. No BFPs. First RE Visit 10/2013. 2 cycles on Clomid. IUI 2/2014 - BFN. IVF #1 - January 2015
@tifga - GL w/ your beta tomorrow!! FX for you! Yes, I pray it's a good sign for us! I'm still having the cramping now. It's about 24hrs so far. It's not constant or unbearable, but uncomfortable.
Ugh, my beta is not until 12dp5dt!!!! NO WAY can I wait that long. I plan to POAS on Saturday, 7dp5dt. If it's a BFN, I will try again at 10dp5dt... though by then, if it's really a BFN, AF should be poking around.
@shortstuff My beta is 12dp5dt too but the thought of testing early made me feel like all hope was lost so I'll just wait til husband tells me tomorrow.
Dr office called again. My estrogen test today has lowered due to retrieval to the 600's. I guess they like it over 1000 still so I will be starting on an estrogen patch tonight as well. So many prescriptions!
Congrats to @tweetyknicks! And glad to hear go much good news about everyone's egg retrievals. Not much news here. Still in the two week wait. Blood work appointment is Monday 8 am. Thinking that since the eggs were fertilized two weeks ago on Friday that maybe I can try a HPT in the next few days??

Hi. I'm new here. I'm actually new to forums all together as well as new to IVF. We have been ttc for 4 years and finally went through the whirlwind that is IVF. I am currently 1dp5dt and finally feel like I can breathe a little. I've devoted the next 9 days to relaxation happy thoughts and creating a beautiful relaxing nurturing environment for our embabies. Our blood test is scheduled for the 28th. Praying! Haven't felt much besides a little cramping and lower back pain but for now I'm enjoying the PUPO phase.
@shortstuff I also had cramping yesterday and throughout the night, woke up with a headache and the last two nights I've been having to pee like 2-3x per night which is unusual. I had a 2 day tsf on 14th so I believe we are at the same stage. It's impossible for me not to try to feel what's going on. @tifga good luck today!

Just got our fert report..We knew they retrieved 8 eggs, but since i had
8 follicles growing we knew that was our max. 4 eggs were mature and 2
fertilized.. i really didn't know it was possible to be happy and
devastated at the same time.. We were obviously hoping for more but now
hopefully we will have two chances..
@khump - I know it is tough when you get your fert report sometimes. Since I have a low egg reserve, I'm considered lucky if I get 4-6 follies and from there if I get any that fertilized. It only takes 1 That's what my doc keeps telling us. Fx for you!
Looking good to those of us still around!
Hugs and hoping for some good news coming up (for all you) no news for me this time really... Day 2 of stimming and wahoo to the lupron migraine from hell.

Tomorrow I go in for another u/s and more b/w in the hopes that they'll tell me I'm ready to trigger on Thursday.
Congrats @maddychan! Great numbers!!
Dr office called again. My estrogen test today has lowered due to retrieval to the 600's. I guess they like it over 1000 still so I will be starting on an estrogen patch tonight as well. So many prescriptions!
@tifga good luck today!
