IUD removal... So terrified!

I got an IUD inserted about 2 months ago just to find out yesterday that it isn't in properly. When I got it inserted, I was told it was like having mild cramps and I would feel nothing else... But my heart literally sank when I was told I had to be dilated, and sure enough, I felt like I was in labour all over again. After it was inserted, I blacked out a few times and I was shakey.. I think labour really traumatized me for me to even feel that way after. But I'm getting it removed today and I am so scared that it's going to be the way it was when I got it inserted. My anxiety is really kicking my butt.

Don't freak! Getting it removed is nothing! Takes 2 seconds and you won't feel a thing. Absolutely nothing like getting it put in!!

You can get a Valium from your doctor to calm you down if you ask.

I second what @Daisy1232 said. But I've heard that getting it removed is cake compared to putting it in!!

Well how'd it go @hopealexis‌ ? I hope it was way less painful than insertion. I had mine put in Friday and it wasn't fun.

Sorry for the reallllly late reply. But I ended up not getting it removed that day because she couldn't find the strings.. I'm scheduled for an appointment this Wednesday. My doctor said they might put me to sleep when they remove it, so I'm not stressing about it at much.

Fuck. I had mine put in January 23rd, checked tonight and can't feel anything. Guess I'd better call Monday morning.
