I've been spotting for two days, no cramps but my OB sent me to the ER. 5 hours later, they said that I probably just have a blighted ovum and are sending me home. Dr said I might be too early (I'd be about 3 weeks) but even my HCG levels were only 700. He said to go home on bed rest and just wait for a miscarriage. He gave me a 2/3 chance of losing this pregnancy. I have another appt on Monday. I'm asking for T&P's from you ladies. I'm distraught. Just sitting here in limbo for who knows how long is nerve wrecking. :-(

After so much hope and prayers, I lost this pregnancy this morning. You always think to be invincible until the unthinkable happens. I hope the very best for you ladies. This is goodbye. :-(

I don't think 700 is low? I was 5wk1d when I had mine taken out was 1802. Dr and nurse didn't seem concerned. I'm sorry for the distress you're in.

You are in the normal range for 5 weeks. This is what's on the bottom of my lab results:
WEEK 4 30 to 4,500
WEEK 5 250 to 30,000

That is what I thought. I've had no other symptoms of miscarriage, but he seemed positive I would miscarry. He said they can't even pinpoint how far along I am by my levels. Keeping FX.
No history of miscarriages, btw.

This is my first time ever being pregnant and my doctor is running tests to see if I've miscarried because on an u/s they saw the sack with nothing in it. I feel your pain! Waiting is an awful feeling but I promise your aren't alone. I won't know about my pregnancy till Friday. I'm praying for you. I hope we both get the best news.

Hang in there! You're definitely not alone. I've been through the limbo myself today. I'm so sorry for what you're having to go through. It seems odd that the doctor would diagnose you with an impending miscarriage when your only symptoms are spotting and you've had no cramping. I hope the doctor is wrong and you have a healthy pregnancy! I'm praying for you.

Sounds like you might need to find a new doctor. Seems premature to diagnose that. When I had a mc my hcg level was a 4 and my doctor says a number over 25 is pregnant. Try not to stress too much and hang in there. Hope he's wrong!

I hope he is too. He was just the OB on call in the ER. I go to see my Dr on monday for the first time. I'm hoping she has better news to offer. Still spotting bright red as of tonight but still no cramps. On bed rest till Monday at least. Thanks for the encouragement, fellow bumpies!

My doctor said only the second number would tell you if you're having a miscarriage because the range is ridiculously wide for hcg. It should roughly double in 48 hours from what I understand- go back in 2 days for a redraw. You'll know more then. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks ladies. Things aren't looking promising. Bleeding just got heavier overnight with some cramps now. I would've thought I was on my menstrual cycle had I not tested so early. It's around the time it was due, too.

I'm pretty sure I just miscarried. About a 3 inch say just came out covered in blood. This is the end for me. Wishing you all the best!
