Yesterday I washed all her clothes and put them away and I got my pack n' play delivered and assembled! I'm officially ready for this little girl to come! 38+3!! I'm so excited!!
Non baby related: my dogs ate my chapstick today...pretty bummed about that.
It's been a busy day here. I went to spin class bright and early (6am), came home showered and then chaperoned a field trip for DD1's class with DD2 in tow. Came home and took a 30 min nap. Now, getting ready to head out to drop them at church for a couple hours (Wednesday kid's program) and stop by the grocery store. I should come back and do some laundry after but I'll probably just nap again. At least there's no dinner to cook tonight. We're having leftovers.
Also, the field trip was fun. It was to the local sheriff's office. They got to see the helicopters (and go inside them), and see a bunch of special equipment (robots and such...I was chasing DD2 during this part so I don't remember it all). They also got to tour the call center and learn about what the various operators do. Then they got to meet a police dog and learn about what they do. It was really important to me that I make it to this trip since it is likely the last one I will get to chaperone this year but man, those kids wore me out!
We have over 35 week appointment and my GBS test tomorrow. My midwife doesn't believe in doing cervical checks (unless asked) until after the due date has passed (or another issue presents itself) so to avoid introducing bacteria to the area. But since I'm already going to have my pants off and she's going to be down there anyways, I'm going to ask her to check simply because I'm curious. I'm interested to hear if I'm dilated/effaced at all!
Also, I filled out all of the check-in paperwork and pediatrician form last night and put them in a special folder to take to the hospital. That way we can do a quick check-in and I don't have to wait forever for a room (:
Ahh man, living in a landlocked state is bumming me out today. I'd love to be able to drive for 10 minutes and take a walk on the beach like I used to. Stupid Utah.
On the bright side, I have a box of cosmic brownies.
Looks like everyone is finishing up things for babys arrival. I was in the store today & walked by a full length mirror..HOLY BELLY! I think my mirror at home is a "skinny" mirror lol. Our pack and play just arrrived too so we have that & the swing to put together!
Got all my stuff washed and sorta set up.. Found out my baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead.. Eek.. Not been feeling good the last 2 days.. But don't wanna start worrying again.. But I am on edge of freaking out.. Lol
My dad is home from offshore and has decided he wants to spend the day on my couch watching T.V. We had a huge yelling match today because this man refuses to take his medicine for his M.S (multiple sclerosis). I just want to lay in bed with my cat and do laundry.
What a day. DH and I went to our normal weekly office check and my blood pressure was high. Normally I have the blood pressure of a corpse so that on top of a headache and weight gain got us a trip to L&D for blood work and a NST. Luckily, my blood pressure dropped enought to be released, but I'm on strict bed rest and have a lovely jar for a 24 hour urine collection. We are back to the doctor on Friday because my blood work had "elevated levels". The nurse didn't specify what. DH was totally awesome today and has just done anything I could have possibily needed.

Probably elevated levels of protein in your urine. Unfortunately, that combined w high blood pressure and weight gain can indicate preeclampsia (I had it with my first at the onset of delivery). Fingers crossed that everything turns out just fine! Glad you're getting the 5 star treatment from DH.
@Dannylion24 thank you. They have me doing to 24 hour collection to rule out pre-e. I think the elevated levels in my blood work were high liver enzymes. We are just going with the flow and listening to the doctor.
@Knottie52468216 stupidity is what's wrong with people. @maasybaby yes! Charge them for the gift bag meant for them, cake they were meant to eat(and any other food or drink), and your time and effort. Did they really expect every kid that was invited to show up?

Has anyone seen this crap?
