I am 8 weeks pregnant with twins and I am nonstop hungry no matter what or how much I eat. Anyone else experiencing this and if so, what are you doing to help with the hunger pains? Thanks!
Eat foods with lots of proteins like meat and nuts. I wasn't pregnant with twins but I fount starches helped. I know not necessarily good for you but it helped. Potatoes, pasta, rice, and toast were my go to foods. Especially toast with peanut butter. Good luck and congratulations!
Eating helps with hunger pains. I suggest eating when hungry.
Drink lots of water...close to a gallon a day. The brain (or Brian, for those in August 15) sometimes confuses hunger and thirst (so weird, right?), as well as not recognizing the leptin (satisfaction hormone) secreted after eating. The water helps to support the growing blood volume and assists in digestion. For me, simple carbs--pasta and cereal--are the difference between life and death, although logic would say protein would be better. This whole baby gestating thing is so weird. I want to be a kangaroo right about now.
