QOTW: Welcome to Blue Monday! Supposedly this is the gloomiest day of the year... so what do you do to beat January blues?
Since it's early o'clock most places where you all are, I will start. (It's lunchtime here!)
We're in a holding pattern after BFN#8 with 3 IUIs and 5 ICIs -- all frozen donor sperm. [Reminder of our saga: our clinic is closing at the end of February and we've decided not to do another IUI with them so now we're not sure WHAT to do... ] We're talking to a potential known donor this weekend. Maybe fresh would help? Seems to have worked for a few people on the board. I'm trying not to panic about being 37 and not having an exact plan for TTC in the upcoming months.
QOTW: Heating and lights -- usually we conserve but these (and Vitamin D spray) are making things easier; planning holidays -- it's a work-ish holiday but we've got a trip to Denmark booked for 8 weeks time; exercise -- THIS is the one I need to work on mostly because New Year's resolution people have crowded out the gym so much that it's been difficult to get into my favourite classes. D'oh!
@CrazyAunt84 - I'm sorry that your timeline is getting pushed back
ETA: I hope you enjoy your cruise and come back feeling refreshed!
@channe9 - I'm sorry that you're in limbo. I hope that you're able to come to a decision about what road to take.
Our transfer is set for Thursday. The RE said that all 7 are still growing beautifully and that the embryologist is suggesting a day 5 transfer.
QOTW: I like to stay inside with our wood stove going. I don't mind being at home, especially when it's nice and warm inside.

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2
****All Welcome!****
We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.

Hi all, we are just starting a new cycle. AF showed on Saturday after our second ICI at home. We are trying to eat healthy, lots of sweet potato, avocado, leafy greens, whole milk, etc. I am taking prenatal, vitamin C and D, CoQ10, vitex and l'arginine. We bought a book Taking Control of Your Fertility recommended by others on this board. (thanks @wittyandwaiting)
We are waiting for our OB to get back to us about switching to something else besides clomid...but if she doesn't answer soon, we might go unmedicated again this cycle. We are appealing our insurance denying us for IVF treatment. So until then, we do at home and hope.
@SheMarie82 - Don't worry we feel the same way about not being able to complete the whole process. We just need to keep our spirits up and keep trying, it will eventually happen.
QOTW: It's actually not too bad weather wise today. Think about 50 degrees outside just south of DC. We are enjoying our day off from the government and running errands.
Me - 31
DW - 27
TTC since Aug 2014, HSG clear, blood work good, retroverted uterus (no reason to not get a BFP?)
#1 Unmedicated b2b IUI-8/14 =BFN
#2 Unmedicated b2b IUI-9/14 = BFN
#3 Unmedicated b2b IUI-10/14 = BFN
#4 Clomid/HCG trigger/Progesterone IUI-11/14 =BFN
#5 Clomid/Progesterone ICI at home-12/14 = BFN
#6 Unmedicated ICI at home-1/15 = BFN
#7 Medicated ICI at home- 1/30 = BFN #8 Taking a break..... Maybe IVF if we win the lotto.
Last week I had a phone appointment with our clinic Dr, went over the details of what happened after we got our BFP and didn't have contact with us again till I emailed about our loss. She recommended genetic testing, but I'm sure if I need that as Turner Syndrome is really just a one in a million kind of issue, and she even agreed that she didn't see it happening again, but I think she just wants to make sure all is good with me, though no genetic disorders run in my family... I wonder how much that testing would cost....
She did say that she wants the HSG done again as I gave birth and the tubes can close us and all that after. I am NOT looking forward to that test again. It hurt soooooo bad last time.
Other than that, we are going to be waiting till early spring before we start trying again. As long as my periods start up again and are not all screwing by that point.
QOTW: the weather has been awesome here this year. Only about a week of -40 Celsius this year, so it's been great!! I might be going to California for work in Feb, so that will help get me out of any cold funk I might be in.

TTC #1 1st IUI - trigger, 9 July 14 at midnight, IUI - 11 July 14 at noon - BFP!! 10 Dec 14 - Lost our Baby Girl to Hydrops & Cycstic Hygroma due to Turner Syndrome TTC #2 2nd IUI - hoping to try for our Rainbow in the Spring
Good luck to those of you in or about to be in the two week wait. To the others than are benched for a bit, take the time to enjoy yourself and your partner.
My hysteroscopy came back completely normal. I just received my AMH blood results and those are normal, now I am waiting on my doctor to get back from out of the country so he can order my medication for the IVF cycle. I go in on Feb 2 for a mock embryo transfer or something, I have no idea what this is or what it means but I am sure to find out. I am praying this IVF works because if it doesn't we will be benched for quite a long time. As many of you know, this process is so stressful and emotional. I am going on 8 months of TTC so I can only imagine how other people trying even longer feel. I know things are meant to happen when it's the right time. I truly wish everyone the best on this blog. This blog has been such a big support system for me and I couldn't ask for greater people to travel this journey with. I turn thirty on the 29th and am hoping for a very happy belated birthday present from the fertility doctor.
@officerofthelaw - A mock transfer is when they do exactly what they plan to do during your actual embryo transfer. They are looking to measure your ute so that they know how far to go in. Sometimes this comes with a saline sonogram which is when they put saline in your ute to check for any issues. They may or may not do this since you just had a HSG. Take a pad with you in case they do, because all of that fluid comes back out. A mock transfer is really no different than an IUI other than obviously they aren't pushing any sperm in.

Things are moving forward for us! AF showed up last and, and although at first I thought it was just bleeding from the birth, I am now 100% it's my period! So I called our clinic and we are scheduled for the 30th to have another SHG before we try again. Make sure my tubes are all good still.

Oh now I understand what the mock embryo transfer is. There is so much I don't know about ivf because I have only been researching IUIs. Thank you for teaching me!
