So my little girl is 15 months old and we are in the process of weaning. I think I am down to just 1 feeding right before bed. (I say I think since the middle of the night weaning just started this weekend and seems to be working). Would I replace the bedtime nursing with a bottle of whole milk? Or does she not need any milk right before bed? I should have asked the doctor when we were at her appointment but I forgot.
I should also mention that she isn't a fan of regular milk and at daycare they need to warm the bottle before she will take it. I try to give her the milk in a sippy cup but she doesn't want anything to do with it when I am around.
Re: Replacing the night nursing
have you tried alternative milks for daycare? honestly, she doesn't need milk at all, per se, just so long as she is eating a balanced diet with other sources of calcium. if you could find a non-dairy milk (coconut, almond) or a different dairy product she enjoys (yogurt, cheese), just make sure she gets some of those regularly and send her to DC with water to drink.
