So i went to the hospital today because I was feeling alot of pressure and pain in my pelvis area and was having back to back contractions. I found out that my water didnt break but i am dilated to 1 1/2cm and my baby boy is position very very low according to the dr. They didnt keep meh ..
Will i dilate more anytime soon? Will he born sooner than his DD (Feb. 4)? What i can do to make myself dilate quicker?? I am ready to my baby boy.
Re: 37 weeks and Dilated..

Strange.... Even magic 8 ball doesn't know.
OP- You can be dilated for weeks and weeks. I cannot see your cervix and if I could I am not trained to know how fast you are dilating. I was dilated 3 cm for 5 weeks with my last pregnancy. Please read the "Bump Guidelines" at the top of the board:
TOU states- "But please don't ask if we think you’re pregnant or post your pee stick --"
OP- you should read this as "don't ask the bumpies how fast you will dilate" because there is no way of us knowing that.
TOU states "...these are other members just like you, not doctors. Each woman’s pregnancy is unique and while Bumpies have great info and emotional support, only your medical professionals can confirm a pregnancy or diagnose issues."
OP- if your doctor sent you away, it was because the baby isn't ready to come out. If you need clarification or you disagree with what the doctor thinks, your options are to ask your doctor why or seek a second **medical** opinion.

Go ahead and flame me fellow bumpies for my last statement, but the OP sounds like such a disgusting selfish person.
1/7/2015 Twins born @ 34 weeks
THIS is also the reason why people wondering if their baby is going to be born early, or wanting them to be, is utterly ridiculous.
Oooorrrrr... LABOR!!
Either way, we are seriously wasting time on these questions. It's depressing.
I was measuring 56 weeks the day before I had my kids (actually only 34 weeks), so don't try to make this about pain or discomfort. And the last thing I was, was excited.
1/7/2015 Twins born @ 34 weeks
1) You're putting words in my mouth. I didn't say preterm labor was exciting, I said trying to bring it on was foolish.
2) I never once mentioned pain or discomfort.
What I did do was try and present two different points:
A) That we all get anxious to meet our babies. This isn't a desire to see them placed in jeopardy though I think it's the root of OP's insanity. I also think this excitement and anticipation is exacerbated by the earliest signs of an approaching delivery. Heaven knows I'm doing a symptom watch and this is my 5th pregnancy, 3rd child. It's exciting. That's happy. This is separate from any desire for an earlier due date.
B ) That there isn't really much that can be done that any of us could or would recommend to OP to fulfill her request in the first place as 90 percent of such remedies just plain don't work. Per my OB, my family doctor, and every other medical personnel I've ever known and discussed the situation with. Babies come when they're ready or when something, as you've unfortunately experienced, goes wrong.
As a final note, I'm sorry for your traumatic experience with your daughter's premature birth. It sounds as though she pulled through. Mine didn't. My beautiful, wonderful, amazing firstborn stopped breathing and didn't come back. So keep your inaccurate inferences and high tempered responses to yourself and either address the actual statements in the post you're responding to, or don't say anything if you can't say something at least half way civil.
