(Re)Intro. Not excited about BF this time around, need encouragement!

Hello ladies. It's been awhile since I was here last. I'm 29 weeks pregnant with #2. Baby #1 is now 19 months and BF until 1 year. I know it's the right thing to do, but I'm not thrilled about BFing again. I had some pretty bad oversupply problems with the first (regularly pumped 15oz in one sitting). I had to go to block feeds where DS only fed from one side for 12hrs at a time while I let the other get engorged. That dropped my supply, some.....Despite that, I still donated 200oz, stopped pumping / BF'ing at 11mo, and was still able to give him saved milk until 1 year. I'm just trying to get excited about doing this again. I will, but blah.....wondering if anyone else was more hesitant with subsequent kids, or if you just get over it when they're born. I work FT and have to deal with pumping, storing, etc.

    I'm not there yet but I hear you about having to deal with all of the BF challenges all over again. I know we'll eventually want #2 and the beginning was just so hard. Like you, I had terrible OS/OALD too (just donated 400oz with plenty to spare). I am lucky in that my BF relationship went from "I hate this but I'm gna do it" to "I love this snuggle time I get with my baby". I know I'll have to focus on all of the positives (and there are a ton) whenever I get overwhelmed about having to start all over. Best of luck!

    This is my first but I constantly catch myself thinking if I'd do this again. What makes me say yes is that aside from the obvious health benefits that it's so much easier than washing and prepping bottles and your boob is ready to go in those middle of the night feedings and not wasting formula guessing how hungry the baby is.

    @horselover11 - Yes, I totally get saving on the bottles. But once work gets going again, I'm going to be pumping and washing anyway.

    I'm going to BF for the health benefits, just having a hard time getting excited about it.
