Pregnant after a Loss

Any experience with Baby's cerebellum measuring small?

I'm almost 32 weeks and with every day I get more and more confident that this is happening! You ladies know that the worrying is never completely gone though. Now I'm mostly worried about baby after she's born. At our 20 week sonogram I noticed her cerebellum measured 18 weeks-they didn't say anything. At our 28 week check up the cerebellum measured 26 weeks (still the same amount behind) but this time I saw the calculation say that this is the 4th percentile. She's in the 40-60th for everything else. The doctor said nothing about it and that everything looks good. I have another sonogram this afternoon and I can't stop thinking about it. If he doesn't mention it today, I'll ask...but I'm worried about hearing such a low number like 4th percentile. I hope shes ok!

Our healthy baby girl was born 03/10/15 thanks to daily Lovenox injections and baby aspirin. There are no words for how grateful I am for our rainbow baby. <3

Re: Any experience with Baby's cerebellum measuring small?

  • If your doctor hasn't mentioned it and it's been this long I would think it's probably not something to be concerned about. Good luck and I hope they give you some answers.

  • No experience- just wanted to offer some ((HUGS)).  I agree with PP- I would certainly hope that the doctor would mention something to you if he was worried.  Most certainly ask if it would help ease your mind.  Best wishes for a healthy scan today :)
  • Sorry you are left with concerns. Why not just call the doctor and ask about this specifically? You have the right to ask any question you want. If there is one thing I learned with ttc, it's that you have to be an advocate for yourself and your baby! Hugs!
