My due date is Thurs. Jan 29th. Right now, I'm scheduled to work until the 30th, assuming that baby doesn't come sooner. I'm SO done with work. I'm uncomfortable, it's hard to get out of bed, people are getting annoying, and my commute sucks!
Are you / did you work up until your due date? If baby comes late are you going to work past that until your water breaks or labor starts? My work is about 1 hour from the hospital. I think my HR Manager assumes that I'm gonna work up until I go into labor. I just wanna see what everyone is planning on doing. Thanks!!!

I really like having the distraction of work. Otherwise I'd be staying home being anxious about everything.
Our policies are pretty lame and I don't have any paid maternity leave. I can take up to six months off with my job protected but I have to use my accrued sick and vacation time (I only have 2 weeks right now). I plan to take a total of 7 weeks off work so most of it will be unpaid.
I also am not delivering at the hospital I work at and people are incredulous that if my water broke at work I would still go to the other hospital (only 15 min away!) instead of staying and delivering there. Some people have even gone so far as to say they "wouldn't let me leave"... Umm not your call, thanks though
I really wouldn't mind doing my job until baby comes. I just can't handle these people up my ass with all the intrusive questions anymore.
