IUI Check-In 1/19

This is the place to update us on your IUI or break.

In light of all of the recent changes on 3T, I've decided to start from scratch on this check in.

If you would like to be added please answer the following: 

1. Where are you at in the IUI process? (2WW, meds, break, etc.)
2. Which IUI are you on?
3. Test/Beta day? (If you're in your 2ww)

Hi All -

I will normally be part of this check-in, however we are on the bench for a month or 2 because of MFI.. When we resume we will be on a natural cycle and on IUI#2. My RE has been wonderful and is still going to monitor me during the month or 2 we are in limbo just to make sure everything is still ok on my end. I'll be lurking on this check in though. Good luck to all of you!

IUI #1. Beta test this am. Wife had spotting last night. Not optimistic at this point. First IUI try because meds needed for ovulation.

Update: Offically a no. Her spotting was just her period. So today is CD1 all over again. Femara starts Thursday, FOllistim starts Saturday, TWW starts next weekend.

1. Day 7 of my cycle - not taking any meds.

2. This is IUI #1 - we aren't able to see the RE until April and since everything else checked out except for my shy cervix and small cervical opening, we decided to try a few unmedicated IUIs before seeing the RE.

3. Not there yet!

1. Waiting on AF. Hurry up witch! (Provera Day 4)

@lindy04aggie‌ - I am hoping your AF shows up soon and that the cyst is gone, also.

@laurensc927‌- I am sorry to hear about your BETA. FX that 2 is your lucky number.

I just received my BFN from IUI #4, along with my lovely period. Way to kick me while I'm down...
I will move on to IUI #5 (& probably final), with my baseline scan scheduled for Friday.
No clue on beta day yet...sometime middle of February, I'm assuming ☺️

BFN this weekend and CD1 today. Craving prosecco and thinking tonight might be the night to break it out.

Waiting for RN to call me back but most likely moving ahead with IUI#2 starting with Letrozole on Thursday.

I have checked in on the bench but wanted to check in here too. Since this is where I hope to be asap. I am waiting for AF so that we can start our first iui. RE says to call cd1 then we're going to do baseline ultrasound/bloodwork then do clomid and finish with trigger and insemination. I guess that's how it works right with some more bloodwork/ultrasounds mixed in. We are super hopeful the first time around is successful (although not overly unrealistic) since my fibroids have been removed and there is no other defined cause for our IF but anxious and nervous to start too. Any day now.....

3. Test/Beta day? (If you're in your 2ww) We test on Friday 1-23, although I will admit I've used a FRER already this time!

Today with NO warning, the moderators who rode out the storm of the last week were told their services are no longer necessary, as XO group will be replacing the volunteer moderators with “paid moderators” (read: staff) to help the community grow.

Mark my word, these “moderators” will NOT care about the Infertility and Loss communities. They don’t understand what it is like, they have not walked this road. They are just there to punch buttons and click things for their 8 hours a day and then leave it all when they go home. They are not invested in me, or in you, or in anything other than a paycheck.

All that said, I know that many of you have been hesitant to jump ship. I wanted to invite you once more to join us on the dark side at **** where the admins respond to our questions, and where the motivation to foster a community is truly altruistic and not simply the motivation to bring home a paycheck.

I do hope that you will consider relocating your community to the proboards- TheBump is not what made this community. Each and every one of you are. And that community won’t change simply because the URL at the top of your browser did.

So come join the Bad Apple family.

We are in the EXACT same boat (well, pretty much!). I had BFN and CD1 today from IUI #4. It sucks and I think you (and me!) totally deserve some vino tonight. Cheers!

Sorry this is so late... Work has been crazy this week.
I am sorry to hear about all of the bfn's this week. Hopefully you were able to have a drink and regroup for the next cycle, while trying hard to think positive thoughts.

Today, I am day 4 on iui cycle #3. I started 100mg of clomid last night. The last 2 cycles I only took 50mg. I was sick to my stomach all day.

I hope everyone has a good rest of the week!

1. I see RE tomorrow, but probably will start meds within the next few days. I'm on CD2.
