DCIS during Pregnancy

hi ladies!!! As I am here trying to enjoy what should be such a joyous time, I just recently found out I have Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS) and will need a mastectomy very soon. As lucky as I am to have "stage 0" it is still nerve wrecking. I can't wait to get my surgery over with so I can enjoy my pregnancy as we just found out what we're having!!

I am writing to find out about anyone else who has gone through this? If there's any advice. As for everyone else- have your breasts checked, please!!! BC is the most common cancer in pregnant women

Ladies I never thanked you for your thoughts and prayers!! My surgery went well- it's been such a tough pregnancy seeing different specialists and high risk doctors but we're turning the corner

So glad it went well! I know several people who had breast cancer during pregnancy. Although it is horrible that it is the most common cancer in pregnant women, at least that means that doctors know how to treat it! It sounds like you are in great hands. Best of luck.
