Possibly a really silly question..sorry in advance!

anyone else notice their bump gets smaller in the morning? I'm 29 weeks and feel like lately when I wake up I'm losing my baby bump..it always comes back later in the day after I eat and little guy is meeting all his kick counts and actually getting more active. Just seems kinda weird, anyone else? Is this normal?!

    Depends on babies position- at night when you are laying down, he may be moving to get comfortable as well and reposition once you are up for the day.
    Totes normal.

    Yes, bloat is less in the morning and it depends on babies position.

    Thanks to the ladies that were helpful I appreciate the feedback. First time mom so I was unsure and in fairness I did state in the title it "may be a silly question..sorry in advance!"

    FTM is no excuse.

    Many of us who commented (including myself) are. Stop trying to make us all look bad. The majority of FTM's know how to google and read books.

    My comment stands.



    Sorry if you feel I bad you look bad, was not my intention. I do read books (never saw that issue mentioned), but I do not always use google as there tends to be a lot of conflicting info. I like to hear from people with first hand experience.

    The baby moves all the time. My belly constantly changes shape because of it. That just seems like common sense to me.

    I also agree this belongs in the stupid question thread but that would entail the OP actually look and read on our forum. What with her being a FTM and all thats just expecting too much.

    Also for those curious about OP 3 threads started and all of 6 replies- we have a real community contributor here! 




    I've been an active member on the Bump for 2 days, so yes that is all I have contributed. I'm not really sure what was hard to understand about my response? You accused me of not reading a book or utilizing Dr. Google, and I responded to those claims. I'm also unsure as to why my post was so offensive to you but I apologize if you find my naivety so upsetting. Iam just trying to engage and be a member of the community. Thanks for your input though, I will definitely be thinking twice before I post anything again.

    I didn't have this with my first pregnancy, but the bump change from morning to night is significant this time around.

    Oh and by the way I felt compelled to respond over there. Oopsiedaisy! It's been so much crap over here this last week and I haven't said anything because drive by newbies freak me out but I couldn't let it be when they went after us for the "please help" thread.

    I looked over there, read the whole thread and agree with your comment. If you're experiencing pain in pregnancy that could possibly be preterm labor, you don't need hair petting, you need women to kick your ass out of denial and tell you to call your doctor. That's not mean, that is supportive.

    As for this thread, my opinion is this: if you can't take 5 seconds to google what shouldn't even need googling, then please tell me why we should take the time to answer the question. Your baby gets bigger and has the ability to shift around in your uterus, therefore changing the shape of your body even several times a day. Elementary aged children have the capability of understanding that.

    Almost everyone is skinnier in the mornings pregnant or non pregnant because the bloat is normally gone.

    Apparently, according to BBC, not only is TB snarky, childish, assholes.. but April 15 is worse than most. We're all know-it-alls and TB is a "nightmare" for first time Mom's. Marley Girl was leading the pack that we're all pregnant bitches... so there's that haha.
