Sooo I bit the bullet and bought my first spanx (aka fat squeezers) today because we have family pictures tomorrow and I was hoping to squeeze in my belly. Guess what?! They make me look fatter!! What??! I got the thigh/hip/waist/tummy trimmers and omg, they squeezed me and plugged it all 10x into my belly. So, so awful. I was traumatized. So I'm going spanx-less for photos and my H assures me I look fine, though he said it with a mocking look. Ugh.

Thanks @ClaryPax‌! I really don't think I have thaaaat much extra weight but these things did the exact opposite of my hopes and dreams, lol. These are a big family sibling picture as a surprise to my parents so I'm trying to just be like, whatever. I'll post the end result, though.

Yes, I had the same experience with them. They made my fat look weird. I just assumed I had too much fat that the pants didn't know what to do with it!

Really? I guess I'm not the norm here! I like them. I even had a pregnancy pair with a non squeezed part for your belly that I wore under a dress to a wedding when seven months along! I agree that there are outfits that definitely look better without. Did you get the right size? I felt like mine looked worse if I gained weight so I went up a size postpartum and they didn't squish me into weird spaces. Hope that helps, otherwise just rock the natural look, probably better anyway!

I love my spanx too, @spainy17‌. My fave are the unitard kind where you wear your own bra. The shorts ones do terrible things to my love handles, so no way there. Haha.
