Hey everyone, we just learned we are expecting twins this summer. We have a 5 yr. old who will be in a 5 point car seat for awhile & will need car seats for the baby. Anyone know the types of cars that will fit 3 across the back seat? We have a Mazda CX7 but im afraid its not wide enough. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: What cars fit 3 car seats?
We happened to need a new car when we found out we were expecting twins. We ended up w an Acura MDX, which is the same platform as the Honda pilot. Hondas are also very popular among families w lots of small kids bc there are lots of seats w LATCH and top tethers.
If you google "rear hip room" you will be able to quickly compare cars to one another. For example, the cx7 has a rear hip room of 53" (same as our other car, the subaru forester). The MDX is 57.8" and the Honda pilot is 56.9". I didn't specofy model years, but you get the idea. I've never tried 3 across in our forester, but you'll have to have radians in the equation no matter what, is my guess.
