For me, it was over Christmas with my family. Whenever I complain about LO not sleeping, or crying too much, or whatever, my mom always chimes in and says that my husband should help out. I tell her he does, but she just doesn't seem to get it. At my grandma's house, DH was changing LO's diaper, and was doing raspberries on his stomach to make him laugh. I was watching and kind of swooning and feeling really blessed to have such a wonderful little family. My mom must have been looking too, because she smiled and told him he was a really good dad. It was just a really nice moment.

When DS was still in the PnP in our room he would usually wake up between 5-6am and I would pull him in bed with us to get a couple more hours sleep. I'd cradle him in my arm between DH and I and within 2 minutes our dog would slowly creep her way between DH and I as well, and place her big Pitty head on DS's legs. DS would reach down and pet her ear until he fell back to sleep. We were a family cuddle puddle! I miss those moments, DS doesn't want any part of our bed anymore.
I love DD's smiles. She gives out huge smiles and big belly laughs. Every morning when I go get her she is just so excited and happy to see me.
I also love watching DD and DS interact. DS just loves her and gives her hugs and she'll give him a big smile and start talking to him. It is so sweet.

DS gets so excited to see me when I've been at work or in the morning when he wakes up. He gets a giant smile and does this high pitched squeal that I've never heard him do for anyone else.
Yesterday we gave DD cereal for the first time. I loved watching DH feeding her. He looked so comfortable and natural doing it. DH is an amazing dad, and watching them melts my heart. We are very lucky to have him in our lives :-)

DS is a hand-holder. Whenever I bring him into bed with us, he reaches out his arm and feels around until he finds my hand. He grabs ahold and then settles in and falls back to sleep, holding on tight the whole time he sleeps. Bad habits be damned. I love it.
One of my favorite moments came during a phone conversation with my aunt right after Christmas. I was probably feeling a little down about my parenting because FIL and DH's grandmother on that side of the family are constantly harassing us about what we do with DS. My mom's family had just met DS for the first time at their Christmas party and my aunt was sharing the gossip she had heard (she's in California, the rest of my mom's family is in Connecticut, and we live in Rhode Island). Apparently she had heard that DH and I seem to be very attentive parents and DS is an awesome little guy. She's one of the many moms I've acquired over the years since my mom died, so it meant a lot coming from her.
Moments like this. There is nothing like cuddling with DS as he sleeps.
Don't mind him yanking my shirt. It's like a comfort measure to him. Whenever he sleeps curled up with me he grabs my shirt and pulls it towards him (another favorite about parenthood and being a mom)
I got a huge smile today when I got her from grandma. I'm having a hard transition back to work still, so those are by far the best moments. She almost always tries to eat my face when I first pick her up too... and of course I totally let her slobber all over me.
I also started tearing up yesterday when I was trying to clean and DH was laying in bed with DD and was playing some stupid game with her. The giggles just make my heart melt.
Itty bit has had some really rough days recently and my parents have really helped so much. She has started screaming and crying and I'll try everything under the sun and when DH can't come home then my dad will come over and hold her, tap on her leg and a lot of times she'll go to sleep.
I was blowing raspberries at Itty bit last thurs and she always gives me this face like "uh...ok mommy you're really weird" and it cracks me up. I'll start laughing hysterically and she'll smile then at one point she had her first full on laugh/giggle fit. It was awesome!
