Breastfeeding tax deduction Q

I thought this Q might be best suited here. My daughter was born January 2015, but I purchased my breastpump and a lot of breastfeeding supplies December 2014. Because I wasn't actually bf in 2014, does anybody know if I can still utilize the tax deduction or am I S.O.L?

    Usually tax deductions must be used in the year purchased/paid. I would put them on the 2014 taxes. I'm not an accountant, so that's not professional advice, but that's how I would do it.

    It should be deductible in 2014 but I think medical expenses are only deductible if they total ten percent or more of your income.
