Ultrasound today-IUI #3 tomorrow

Hi Ladies!

Had my US today and had one, mature, lead follicle that measured 24mm and my lining was at 9.5. I was a little disappointed that I only had one, but the RE didn't seem to be too concerned. I had two last cycle and got a BFN, so I guess one is ok? I got a trigger and will go in for my IUI tomorrow and then begin the delightful 2WW! Should I be discouraged that there was only one follicle?

I know there is a lot of drama on here lately, so I hope there are still some supportive ladies left. I was just getting started and was looking forward to the support during IUI #3!

Me: 34 (all tests normal) DH: 35 (all tests normal)
Married 2013 
TTC since October 2013 
First RE visit after TTC naturally-Oct 2014
HSG test Oct 2014-no blockage
Non medicated IUI #1-Nov 2014-BFN
Letrozole 5MG and Trigger Shot IUI #2-Dec 2014-BFN
No Change in Meds-IUI #3-Jan 2014-Currently in TWW

    I've only been through one monitored cycle with 2 mature follicles so I don't have much advice. I'm new too and it seems like there are still a lot of supportive girls on 3T. Sending positive thoughts your way! Good luck tomorrow!!

    No advice as I'm on the bench waiting to start my first iui. But I wanted to wish you luck. One is all you need so FX that's the one you have been waiting for.

     Unexplained Infertility - impatiently awaiting the next steps
     TTC since 3/2012
     TTCAL & TTTC 
    MC 11/12/13 - 2 D&C's - CP 9/15/14 - myomectomy's, fibroids removed 11/4/14 & 12/30/14. Bloodwork - normal. SA - normal. Tubes - no blockages. Cycles & O - both normal. Currently benched waiting for AF after 2 rounds of Lupron to thicken lining.    Jan 12th- Jan 13th consult with RE. First IUI plan in place (with clomid and trigger) to start as soon as AF resumes. Waiting on AF….pat-ient-ly…?

    I know this is MUCH easier said than done, but I would try not to be discouraged nor too encouraged by one mature follicle. The good news: You have a mature follicle. For some people, it only takes one follicle and good sperm to get a BFP. The not so good news: REs typically want to see more than one follicle on medicated cycles. It isn't unusual to get varying responses on the same dosages. Last cycle (5mg Letrozole), I had 5 mature follicles. This cycle (same med dosage), I had 3 mature follicles.

    I wouldn't be too disappointed. I had two mature folicles at 22mm my last iui and that didn't take so I think you should be thrilled with your one. That is all you need to pop out an egg. Besides If you RE didn't think that one follicle was worth it, then they would wait to do the iui. So have faith in the RE, this is a good thing. Of course i have only had 2 iuis so I am not an expert. I wish you the best of luck!
    I have only been here a few weeks so I missed what happened. I am sticking around!

    I had one mature follicle with my first round in Clomid. I looked at it like this: one is better than none! Plus it's a great size! Stay positive! :x

    Good luck! PP was right RE's like to see more than one follicle but usually are happy as long as you have one. I know that I only had one my first medicated cycle and they were still happy with that. Now I can't even get the one to mature ha!

    Husband: 26 SA: normal
    Me: 23 Low AMH and damaged ovaries due to chemotherapy.
    No AF or O in 3 years. HSG showed a slight T shaped uterus.

    High Risk OB 9/29- got the ok to get pregnant.
    RE Appt:  10/28/ U/S showed follicles, but also small damaged ovaries.
    B/W results CD0: all normal except low AMH at 1.3
    Cycle 1-November (TI)- Femera 2.5mg, 2mg Estradoil, and Trigger=BFN
    Cycle 2-December (TI)- Femera 2.5 mg ,4mg Estradoil, and Trigger= No O
    Cycle 3-January (TI)- Femera 5 mg, 2mg Estra    doil, and Trigger=

    Thanks so much everyone for the encouraging words! IUI went well on Sat. I had a lot more pressure and cramping with this one than I did with the other two. DH's total sperm count was 8mil vs their goal of 10mil, but the nurse didn't seem too concerned, she said it was still a good count and everything else, motility etc. were great! Two days later.....only 12 more dreadful days to go!

     

    @kbojo24 3rd times a charm is right, or else that's what I keep telling myself!

     

    If this IUI doesn't work, I am meeting with my RE to figure out what's next!

    I'm hitting the tail end of my 2WW - beta test on Friday. I'm thinking I'm out, sadly  :(

    I know the feeling @tiffmich08. I also had 1 mature follicle when I triggered- I stair stepped with Clomid last cycle, and I was really hoping for at least 2. I am in the middle of my 2WW. 

    Me (28)- PCOS, no natural cycle since stopping BC pills in 2013
    DH (29)- SA= all good
    Married since March 2013 (together since 2004) + TTC since April 2013

    Provera 12/13, 6/14, 8/14, 10/ 14, 12/14

    Clomid 50 mg 12/14- no follicles big enough, stair stepped with Clomid 100 mg (1 follicle 22/25 mm) + Ovidrel trigger shot 1/15- BFN

    Clomid 150 mg 1/15- no follicles responding- repeated 150 mg + Ovidrel trigger shot + IUI- BFP
