Tailbone Pain?

Is anyone else experiencing tailbone pain? I'm 33 weeks and I didn't have this with my first. The past 2 days have been really uncomfortable. Has anyone found anything that helps?

Thanks!

Re: Tailbone Pain?

  • Sitting on an exercise ball instead of a chair or on a cut-out cushion have helped me a bit.
  • Loading the player...
  • Pelvic rocking, sitting on an exercise ball, and occasionally using a heating pad all help me with hip/back pains. Even just sitting cross-legged instead of flat can help with hips and tailbone.
  • All great ideas and ones I haven't tried yet. Thank you so much!
  • I swear by topical rubs that have arnica in them for hip and back pain. The best so far has been Arnicare gel from Walmart.
  • I'm pretty sure my tailbone popped/cracked when I sneezed a few times this weekend. Not a fun feeling at first but felt amazing once the pain subsided almost like cracking your back. I've been doing the cat stretches on hands and knees to help hip and back pain. There are so many stretches to help, I just have better luck with this one.

  • I had tailbone pain in the second trimester that has since gone away in third trimester.
I just kinda dealt with it thinking it was just a pregnancy thing. It was uncomfortable but never too bad.
I think it happened after sitting too long one night in a tall bar stool
