  My minimal understanding was that there were new terms of use/guidelines rolled out by The Bump admins that started it. Some board moderators may or may not (I'm unclear on this part) told members of their board about them before they were supposed to and possibly told members other things they weren't supposed to. Regardless, several popular mods were banned, lots of people on the boards got really mad about it, and more people were banned for a variety of reasons, like posting links to another message board they were all meeting up on.
  
  It seems lots of people feel the Bump admin (BumpMay I think) was way out of line in the way it was handled and are protesting.
  
  Annnd that's all I got. I'm sure it's way more complicated. I read TTGP but I don't even bother trying to keep up it moves so fast.
