Valentines Day Gift Ideas for Daddy to Be

Anyone else planning on doing a daddy to be gift? I hate Valentines day and I hate buying gifts for it but I thought this might be a cute/more meaningful idea. I am torn between doing a Denver Broncos onesie (his favorite sports team) or a daddy diaper bag.

    A daddy diaper would last longer than a onesie that gets quickly outgrown.

    Excellent idea! I have been too worried about his first Father's day gift that I didn't think about Valentine's day, but I like a father to be gift better.hmmm...

    My SO and I do this thing where we buy candy for ourselves and gift it to the other person. Sort of like a gag gift since our preferences are so different. Neither one of us gets the other a big gift since our anniversary is the day after.

    I will probably cook dinner and my husband will probably bring me flowers. We don't bother with gifts on V-Day, but I do like to acknowledge it. For Christmas, though, he got a few things "from the baby": an "I <3 My Daddy" onesie and a couple "Daddy" board books. I think one was "Daddy Hands."

    I'm from Denver so I love this :) But my hubby is from Qatar and the only "football" he knows is "soccer" :P

    I would do the onsie. In my experience, there is no way to keep more than one diaper bad stocked and ready for action. Your husband will take the one that's ready to go... And he won't care what color it is.

    We don't really do Valentine's day gifts,we usually go on a date around the day. This year we are planning a nice dinner out and probably bowling depending on how much my belly grows. This will be the last year we won't have to pay for a sitter.

    One year for DH's birthday I gave him 6 coupons, each one is "Redeemable for one BJ". He said it was the best gift ever. He's only used one and keeps the rest locked up like they're gold bars or something.

    DH will be in FL at a conference on 2/14.  He's out of luck this year! 

    I plan on ordering sushi and drinking sparkling grape juice all by myself.  I may even buy myself $5 flowers at the grocery store.

    We don't do gifts for Valentine's day, usually just exchange cards and he gives me flowers and chocolates. And then we go out on a real date (as in we have an actual plan instead of a 'where do you want to go?' kinda thing).

    My sister and mom gave us a gift card for our anniversary to a nice restaurant in the area and we still haven't gone so we're planning to do that. I'll probably make him a fancier than usual breakfast or get up early and grab donuts and starbucks.

    DH HATES Valentine's Day and I'm getting him a nice gift for his 30th birthday four days before so I might steal the onesie idea - we'll know baby's sex by then and he saw a Carter's footed sleeper at TRU at said something about Daddy on it and had a berry on the butt and he's taken to calling the baby "berry butt baby" now, so if it's a girl I'll probably go get that.  

    Oh, and Reese's hearts.  He loves those.
