Swimsuit Suggestions at 11 wks

Hi everyone,

I searched the boards and didn't see this question, so thought I'd post here. I'm going to the Caribbean to a wedding in mid-February and am trying to figure out what kind of swimsuit to purchase. I have a lot of bloat that stays more than goes, so I'm kind of self conscious about my stomach, especially since most of the people at the wedding don't know I'm pregnant. Do any of you have any suggestions? Appreciate your help

I'm going to the Bahamas in Feb for a wedding also. I'll be 15 weeks. Wearing my regular swimsuits. People know I'm pregnant and they definitely will by then.

If tankinis are your style, try one of those. My dad was born in July and I rocked a tankini a size larger than I would normally wear. IMO maternity suits can be wildly overpriced.

You may be able to find a wrap of sorts you can swim in to go over your existing suit.
The tankini is my fav.

I would go with a tankini for sure, and as pp's have mentioned, ruching in the tummy will help. You may want to go a size up in the top, but I wouldn't spend the money on a maternity suit at this point.

Target has some adorable flowy tankinis right now that would cover and no one would know the difference. They're called "Flyaway Tankini Tops" by Merona.

I agree to a one-piece/tankini with rouching (sp?) in the middle for camouflage.

If it were me, I'd definitely be rocking a tankini with swim shorts instead of bikini bottoms, lol. Not too comfortable with my blump and thighs at the moment.
