Why the board suicide on M14?

I have pretty much caught up on recent occurrences on other boards including bannings, new TOU, etc. But why the board suicide on M14? Why the mass exodus? It seems to me that M14 has escaped this thing pretty well unscathed...as it should since this place tends to be relatively respectful. I know I am not on TB much these days, but it isn't like this has been the kingdom of snark and cursing anyway. M14 is about one of the most low key places on TB. I don't see why there is a need to leave or why people are actively trying to get themselves banned.
If this isn't over TOU, then what is it over? A few posters on Parenting being banned? Some of which apparently reacted to their banning by posting porn, hacking TB, making threats of violence and otherwise behaving in a manner that I personally would NEVER want to model for my children? Also, if my memory serves me, "Parenting" was no friend/fan of M14 about last Easter during "Glider gate" and pretty much told M14 that we deserved to have money stolen from us that was donated for a loss Mom even though the majority of M14 had nothing to do with the gilder post. (Also, I do realize that some of the parenting posters who did those things like the threats, etc. are not representative of all of "Parenting," so to that extent I am sorry for lumping them all together. But my point is that this simply doesn't seem like something that warrants what is going on HERE.) I know I have not been very active lately, but it does make me sad to think that I may not "virtually" see many of you again since I don't have any plans to leave. Just my two cents. I hope you all stay.
ETA: I am not merely being facetious. I genuinely don't understand why people are wanting to leave. Please fill me in if there is something that I am missing.

As for changing tou, I have been around TK, TB, etc for 10+ years and seen it changed maybe 2-3 times. And, honestly, these changes really don't affect most of the women on this board because most of the women on this board are very respectful. The women on this board are exactly the type of women who I'm willing to bet the bump wants on here and is unlikely to ban.
Ultimately, to each his own. I just hate to see this board implode if people were happy here prior to the current situation. I have no dog in this fight other than just to say that after the dust settles, things may not ultimately end up being so bad around here. I'm not trying to say anyone here (m14) is right or wrong in this situation or be snarky or judgy.

I didn't say BM was no longer employed. I said she was no longer employed in the capacity that she was ...which is the same thing you are saying. She is not interacting with posters so, therefore, she isn't able to ban anyone.

I dont agree with how it all went down and maybe some of the banning was for reasons we will never know. Maybe all the mod demotions happened so TB could try to regain some control in all the chaos? Not saying it was done the right way, just maybe it was done in a panic?

I am not really sure, but I think it was a more small scale version of this. I think it was started with a thread on fruit snacks and then there was supposedly something ae one poster having an emotional affair with another poster. But I don't know all the details.
