I will be 20 weeks on Saturday and my Doctor hasnt mentioned anything to me yet. I figured when I see them on Wednesday they will probably bring it up. When they do they do. Im really not in any sort of a rush to go sit in the lab for an hour of my day!
Only your OB can answer this as it varies from OB to OB. You should give your OB a call and inquire as to when they would like you to do it. My OB is scheduling mine at 26 weeks.

Do you have a history of diabetes in your family or with a prior pregnancy? If yes, ask your doctor. I had GD with a prior pregnancy so I was tested at 8 weeks. Because I passed, I then will be retested at normal time which is between 24-30 weeks. I want to say my doctor said 28 weeks because I specifically asked them.
If no, wait since you are still fairly early. My doctor only brings up testing items or items of importance the appointment prior to when I need things done. Let's face it, if your OB told you everything on day 1 you wouldn't remember any of it by the time it comes.
This also may be a good item to search since many of the April/May girls are probably having their test done so you can get a general idea of when it is done for a normal/no history person.
I'm considered high risk so I had a two hour one at around 11 weeks and my OB just told me I'll be doing the 1 hr one at my next appt in a couple of weeks. I'll be almost 23 weeks by then. Hopefully that's the last one! Yuck! Lol
If you have family history or dietary concerns - an OB may request one earlier. On average, most OB's perform your glucose test (first one is only 1 hr) between 24-28 weeks. My OB requests at 26 weeks but to each their own. Bring it up at your monthly OB visit when you are seen next.

With DS1, I did it at 28w. Not sure when it'll be with this pregnancy.
