Yesterday I bought a pre-seasoned Lodge Cast Iron Dutch oven & when I read the reviews it said all good things, except that they don't pre season it well. I have no idea what that means. I know that after it's clean it should be oiled but can someone please break down how exactly I'm supposed to clean this thing? I made chicken stew in it already.
Cook with fatty meats an butter in your cast iron to keep it seasoned. I clean mine one of two ways - spray it out with hot water or sprinkle some kosher salt in and scrub with a paper towel, then rinse.
