  • I am working so up bright and early. Then I plan to sit on my butt and watch the football games all night.

I'm 38 weeks today and not feeling well. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come but probably not. Have a good day everyone!

  • @miniwheat10‌ I've also been trying to avoid getting sick and was dismayed when the child I watch in the mornings showed up on Thursday saying she wasn't feeling well, but her dad said she had to try to go to school. Then she wasn't on the bus bc she really was sick and was sent home during the day and then stayed home Friday. Sigh ... Really hope we stay healthy!

38 weeks tomorrow and just feeling generally crappy as well @dreemkin84‌ . OB is doing a membrane sweep at 39 weeks (I've got mega circulation/varicose/swelling/clotting issues) and as much as I'd really like to make it till then to give baby as much time to cook as possible (I had a baby at 38 weeks who ended up in the NICU for a week so I know everyday can count andplusalso that's when my mom will be here to watch my other 3 LOs for us) these last few weeks have been miserable and full of false alarms.

Well, better get moving. My DH is working tomorrow so we have to get the last few house/new baby projects and some shopping done today.

    Have a good day, everyone!
  • I too have been avoiding the sick bug but guess who a cold....Ds. It isnt too bad but when you're 37 weeks and sleep deprived it's enough. Today I'm having brunch with my mom and a few others at the cheese cake factory. It's not supposed to be a shower but something tells me it will be. My bf is mad that i didn't invite his mom, whom I've never met. I told him that i would not have minded her coming had i met her ahead of time.in my opinion meeting the parents is already nerve wrecking but to add meeting her without him in a setting with my friends would have just made it akward an uncomfortable. He doesn't seem to get it. Today is supposed to be about me and our son and now i feel crappy because he is on his period. Ladies am I wrong? Also fx super bowl sunday I will get to meet my newest little lovebug. I will be induced at 39 weeks due to some health reasons.
  • Cleaned out the car yesterday, moved DD's carseat behind the driver's seat and installed the infant carseat base on the other side. The good news is that the new infant carseat takes up less sapce than the infant carseat we had for DD (she is in an upright now). Bad news is that I really want a largervehicle now that we have zero space in the back.

Today we are heading to church and then a dinosaur exhibit at the convention center. I hope I can handle all of the walking.

  • I am definitely not sleeping as well as I used to. I sleep wedged in 4 different pillows, but keep getting woken up by a stray knee that pokes out painfully. Then I have to roll over. Doing that 4 times a night is getting old.

  • 38 weeks 3 days today. I'm miserable too from the usual suspects (false labor, lightning crotch, back pain, insomnia, ect ect)

I'll be induced on the 30th if I haven't gone into labor on my own by then, but I REALLY want to avoid that. I was induced with my first and ended up with an emergency c-section. I'm trying for a VBAC so I'll be doing ALL the silly old wives tales to induce labor until I'm induced.

    Happy Sunday everyone!

  • Laying here calculating exactly how much time I really need to get ready for church. I should probably be up by now but I'm gonna push it another 15 minutes or so and then make a mad dash for the door. Other than that no big plans for me.

It's been an eventful weekend over here. DD1 had a friend sleep over last night. They were up most of the night and DD lost her first tooth. We knew it was coming. It's been loose for weeks. But the sleep over made the whole tooth fairy thing extra difficult. We managed to pull it off but didn't get much sleep. The friend is still here.

I have really been wanting to go hiking at one of our beautiful state parks when the weather got nicer and it finally has so we are going today. I'm tired but I need fresh air! It's beautiful out and I just can't be cooped up inside all day.
Edited to fix crazy huge post.

Hey guys! I hear you all with the bugs... DH had manflu at the beginning of the week, wondering how long I still have to cross my fingers that I didn't catch it. @Dannylion24 what were those parents thinking sending their kid over to you when you're highly pregnant? Am I the only one who finds that really selfish? (Then again I'm really touchy the past week).

I just went shopping for some more things for the baby... but mainly for the nurses that come to the house to take care of baby and me. They want the weirdest things, including washing salt. I've never heard of it. It's supposed to be to soak really dirty laundry (aka post-delivery laundry) but eeeeeeh,I can't find it anywhere. Anyone heard of it? Is that the same as soda??? I'm so confused.... again!
I've never heard of washing salt. Washing soda is in the laundry aisle. I use it I making homemade detergent.

  • Thanks @mamabisme‌ I was wondering if I was crazy to be so peeved about it! And then not to even tell me she got sick at school ... Ugh.

Good luck with the washing salt - never heard of it
  • Rainy day here. I haven't left the couch.... it feels amazing to be lazy & not do anything!
  • @miniwheat10‌ I've got a whole house of baseboards if you run out ;)

Today I am relaxing. I was a dummy and thought my 37-week pregnant self could keep up on a 4 mile walk with DH yesterday. I felt great during the walk, but as the night progressed I could hardly move due to hip pain. It's a tad better this morning, but I think the couch and I will be friends today.
  • Today we are taking DD out to buy a gift for baby... I expect to hear the word mine at least 50 times.

Yesterday DD was such a whiny mess, I was lossing my cool with her and DH always says, but she's not feeling well.  She's fine! Enough with the excuses for bad behaviour.

  • Good morning ladies!
I plan on not doing much today except cuddling up with DH and Jackson. We are really starting to get this breastfeeding thing down which makes for a happy new mama over here!
I hope all of you battling sickness get over it quick.
  • Sitting on the couch while DH, DD and my mom go grocery shopping. I just can't handle waddling around the giant super market anymore.

  • I'm trying to recover from an emotional Saturday. Last week my husband was told he had to go out of town (5 hours away) for training. I'm 34 weeks now and he wouldnt be back until I'm 39.5weeks, and he will not have cell phone service the whole time
  • Finished with the basement bathroom! Now to clean up the construction zone and start moving the big girls down to their new room/hangout lounge! Then, we can pick up the crib and dresser for baby's room (Thursday) and then I can start her room! It's about damn time!

Baby shower at our church next Sunday, need to be able to put things together.
  • @miniwheat10‌, baseboards are on my list of things to do, but it's more of a list of jobs I want done that my big girls can earn money doing (if it's done well), but so far, my list has no interested earners.

I'm blaming their dad (my ex) for turning them into "entitled", where they don't feel it's necessary to work for what they want. They are with him 20% of the week, but that 20% seems to destroy the hard work I (and their amazing stepdad) put into raising them right the other 80% of the week. Sad mama. :(
  • Had my baby shower yesterday. I'm greatful I have loving and understanding friends and family. They packed up everything last minute and came to me since I'm on bed rest. I didn't get off the couch for anything except to go to the bathroom. My mom came over today to help with the remainder of laundry and to put everything up in the nursery. Woke up today with excruciating pains from cramps that had me in tears. 3rd trimester bathroom problems, yay!! I kept thinking about how much fun labor must be. Lol. I hope y'all are having a good Sunday!
  • Can anyone relate to me... Who am I kidding probably everyone at this point.. DH doesn't understand why I don't want sex. Like it sounds great but just no. He gets so angry and says I don't even have to do any of the work blah blah. No answer I give him satisfies him. Ugh may these next 4 weeks go by fast. And then the 6-8 weeks of recovery lol

Man, his attitude gets me more than anything. Mine gets a little frustrated but realizes there's other things we can do... And that I'm currently carrying his child so he'd better be a little more sensitive. Lol!

I'd say maybe suggest an alternative, like a little manual lovin', but with the "he gets so mad" it'd be full embargo.
  • Actually a little jealous of all of you talking about hubby being frustrated with no sex!  Mine hasn't even tried in a very long time.  wish i had the opportunity to say no!
  • Did anyone else just see the sticky and think Sugah was back?

I did! I was so confused, and all the other threads being bumped up? What's going on with that?

    So many stickies!

She was unbanned and it brought back all her old posts, even ones that had previously been deleted. I would be pissed.
