Waddle Waddle

Um, yeah, I think I am quickly developing "The" pregnant walk. I can feel it and it's not pretty...............and it's only going to get worse! Anyone with me?

  • I get the waddle at work.  12 hours on my feet in a busy ER brings out the waddle about half way through my shift.  It won't be too much longer before I'm in penguin waddle full time.

  • I waddle, but not because my belly is big. It's because I have terrible RLP and it feels like my bladder is as full as a swimming pool. I'm really just trying to avoid any accidents...

LOL-perfect term for it- 'walrus roll'. :) I'll have to start calling it that. I can't stop laughing. Thank you.

  • My boss asked me the other day how long I plan to try and stay wearing my heels to work as he could picture me waddling along in them to my desk. I laughed whilst picturing kicking him in the nads!

Still strutting in heels too! Love my heels.

  • I've always waddled or so my sister says. Now that I'm bumping with a fractured ass...I got the waddle perfected.
  • I started waddling at 9 weeks. There was no excuse for it. STM, the struggle is real.

  • All of the above. Totally waddling (around the house, not in the office, so clearly, I'm exaggerating it) and splayed-knee crouching. (in the gym, I figured out that the "golfer pickup" is a less awkward option, more appropriate for public settings).

Love "walrus roll"!  Mine always seems to include a grunt... which makes DH laugh, but not as hard as when I actually did do a pregnant version of that wobble dance. (was checking out my new belly in the mirror).  The wobble is going to be amazing in May :)

  • Yes the waddle is real over here! Not because im that huge but I have pressure down there and it's like the muscles that attach my inner thighs to my groin area are bruised or sore... it hurts to walk and lift my legs. Maybe I need to use them more and they are just getting lazy?
  • I didn't want to believe it, but I'm definitely waddling lately. Getting up from a reclined position is starting to get really uncomfortable and difficult, too. My fiancé thinks the waddling is hilarious... I'm not even that big yet.

Side note: I have people tell me constantly that I don't look as far along as I am... Which bothers me because I do look as far along as I am. This is how MY body looks at this point in MY pregnancy. When people make comments like that, it makes me feel like I'm being judged or something. Is anyone else dealing with this and feeling the same way?
  • Definitely waddling. So sad...but I think it's more from joint pain. Been off my arthritis meds since October.

This is me, too. Especially if I have to pee at ALL, it's painful and I have to shuffle along.. ugh.

  • My dad said I was waddling like a month or more ago. I assure you I am not. But I do walk gingerly because I am uncomfortable and my body feels like it's falling apart!

I just did this! Last Saturday! I went out to karaoke with my BFF and some guys talked us into line dancing. They brought up the Wobble and I want you to know I made it through almost the whole thing! This after dancing through a whole other song! At the end though I stumbled off the dance floor because I was DYING.

OMG YES! I'm soooooo sick of people telling me I'm not showing or I don't look ___ weeks. I guarantee you I know my body better than you and my belly is bigger than it was before there was a baby in it. This week I popped though so I anticipate much less of that in the future. Finally, hallelujah. But I know what you mean, I feel like people are accusing me of lying when they say I don't look pregnant. I know they probably think it's a compliment but think about it! I AM pregnant! Hello! So it's hardly a compliment to tell me I don't look like I am.

  • I am for sure waddling!!! Working retail did it... By the end of my shift i have so much lower back pain i am almost in tears. My honey has been helping me roll off the couch and tries to stay quiet when i roll off the bed. I am only 18 wks and really thought i had more time but i guess the 2nd pregnancy things happen a bit faster!
  • I don't mind the waddling first thing in the a.m. but by the end of the day I look like a penguin with hemorrhoids I'm waddling so bad. And walrus rolling off the bed...dear god that' a sight to see!

The roll of the bed is real - any other way equals pain. I know I'm waddling by the end of the day but I try to safe it for home, in part, because I know co workers will comment. We have a slew of babies coming this year. I'm behind everyone by a few months, and keep getting the "just you wait" talks. I'm pregnant now buddy - there's no waiting to happen! I also had a coworker try and count backwards when she asked how far along I was - she was trying to find out if I was pregnant at my wedding. Thanks lady.

Yes. I get told my belly is so small compared to everyone else they know. Puts bad thoughts in my head such as: Is baby okay? What if baby isn't growing properly because of something I am or haven't been doing? Why are people judging my tummy?!?!?

But like you said, this is how I am suppose to look at this point because that's what it looks like. We are all different and I need to remember that!

  • Add me to the people thinking I'm BIGGER than I should be at this point. At church this morning a lady said "are you sure you didn't wait until you were 5 months before you announced? Nope. I announced around 3. But thanks for thinking I look 7 months pregnant.
