  • I feel good that J and I went and picked out everything for our new bathroom yesterday. I'm ecstatic that J's great grandma gifted us enough cash to buy the vanity and toilet for the renovation! I know, not everyone wants money for a toilet as a gift, but that (and the vanity) is a huge chunk of what we need! It's going to be a month or so before we can actually do the renovation itself but I'm glad to have almost everything bought for it already. Seriously, all that's left to buy is flooring (including a new sub floor) and plumbing! Yay! It's all going to be very DIY, so wish us luck!

QOTW: My goal is to make more meals at home and not get take out this week. We've been horrible about convenience eating instead of home cooked/ healthy eating. Our food budget is also very tight because of everything we have bought/ have to buy for our bathroom.

  • @StacyLH24, keep us updated!  I'm hoping for big numbers of GREAT eggs!

BTW, I thought of posting this on the TTC thread but felt weird posting there.  Anyway, I've always had to start PIO prior to transfer, FWIW.  But I hope you get the meds schedule ironed out ASAP!

  • @StaceyLH24 - Holy moly tomorrow is the day! Everything crossed for you and your ovaries :)

I feel good that I stayed on my new budget through payday! It's a lot leaner 'round here with the childcare bill. Totally worth it though.

I also want to shout out to @ATXMommas - who advised way back when I posted for 'must-haves' before pregnancy that we needed Boogie Wipes. I went overboard and bought a case off Amazon, and we have blown through (pun intended) two packages so far with Simone's cold. While she *hates* them, we *love* them!

QOTW: My goal is just to stay on budget. I'm failing on WW right now I think because I can only manage restriction in one part of life at a time!! Money and food? FFS! ;)

    Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!

It's been a long road to here...

  • Checking in late.

I feel good about how our first couple of nights and day have gone with Sienna home.  It was bordering on chaos here before with my toddler and infant home, but Sienna tips the balance and now my goals are truly simple.  Feed everyone.  Make sure naps happen.  Pick up poop/change diapers.  Surprising amount of poop in my life these days. ;-)

I made pancakes this morning and EV took Kaden and Sienna into the backyard to play with her new ball. They were having so much fun.  Kaden seems much more engaged and relaxed too with having the puppy around - though I don't fully get why.  It feels good to have her as part of our family - even though I feel a bit crazy for having taken the leap.

QOTD: I guess the real goal is to crate train Sienna and to continue to make progress with house-training.

I also want to lose at least a pound this week.  The scale has been hovering at the same number for over a week now.  I'm trying again to give up most sugar and use stevia instead.  I don't really like the taste of stevia but I need to save those empty calories.
