Trouble TTC

Hello from a newbie!

Hello everyone! This is my first time participating in a discussion board (I have reading them obsessively lately) so I thought I would join! I have been TTC since June 2013 and was diagnosed with PCOS by my GYN in April 2014. After unsuccessful rounds of Letrozole, I was referred to a "PCOS guru" in August 2014 and the PCOS was confirmed. I immediately started Metformin and began a new round of Letrozole in November 2014. I have ovulated each cycle with 2 follicles (and hopefully released 2 eggs!) each time. I guess I should add that if having PCOS isn't bad enough, my DH's "efficiency" (not to be confused with count) is not up to par. Therefore, we are "giving him more targets to shoot at" as my doc describes. ANYWAY... This cycles is the first I have been given the ok to TTC!! I could not contain my excitement. I am currently on CD 30 and 14dpo. in a moment of weakness, I tested the evening of 10dpo and got a BFN. Still no AF... But I'm losing hope because the cramping is there. I Would expect her to show tomorrow or Monday. I think I've been psyching myself out because I've focused on every little twinges.cramping started about a week ago, which is NOT usual for approaching AF. Also, bbs have been relatively sore (also not a typical AF symptom for me). Also tingly, sensitive nips from time to time!! Some dizziness while sitting down... And of course, the cramping... But more so in my back. My sciatic nerve has also really been bothering me last 2 days. Like I said.. I've been reading every twinge in my body and I can feel myself getting my hopes up and reading too much into it. I know you gals can relate which is why I'm here! I refuse to test again until late AF..... I'm so scared she's coming :( Thoughts??

Re: Hello from a newbie!

  • Welcome and good luck! Try not to obsess over each symptom, I know easier said than done but that 2WW can be a killer!  I wouldn't test again until AF doesn't arrive as scheduled.  Is your RE considering doing IUI since H's efficiency needs help?

  • @Cupcakegal930‌ it has been discussed, but we aren't there yet. I guess we'll see what we can do on our own before we get to that point. And yes... The 2WW is a pain, esp right here at the end!
  • Welcome from a fellow PCOS lady!  I feel like every single cycle is different for me (a pcos thing?), so I am plenty familiar with overanalyzing every little symptom.  A lot of the ladies on these boards go with this philosophy:  You're not pregnant until the pee stick says you're pregnant.  I think it's a great philosophy for not driving yourself crazy :)

I'm curious.. what is meant by decreased efficiency?  Is that a reference to the morphology or motility?  I've never heard that piece of fertility lingo!
