i think that it means when your belly button pops out and that is a clear sign that you are pregnant but i am getting other things from other women... anyone have a clear definition that we can all use here on the bump?!?

I would have to say it's whe you're beyond the "Is she pregnant, or just fat" stage. Or more clearly, when you're obviously pregnant to strangers.

My belly button never popped out with DS, it just went flat.

I've heard it used for when your belly pops out enough to be pg looking and not just fat-looking....based on the shape of your weight growth. I've also heard it for the belly button, but not as the definition of "popped," just as a description for when the bb does "pop."

It was like overnight at around 16-17 weeks that my stomach no longer sucked in and started feeling a lot more firm.

i think i agree with the no longer being able to suck it in anymore haha.. that happened to me about 16 weeks. so i guess ill have to explain to the first tri whaat "popped" really means.

It's more when your belly pops out. It's like all of a sudden you don't just look chubby any more. I don't think my belly button will pop, and many women's don't, so I don't think it's related to that.

thats good to know, i thought that every womans belly button popped so i am happy to learn that not everyones does. thanks ladies.

I think of it as when you can feel feel and see firm ball in in your belly. bloat is soft, popped is when you have a hard ball. imo

To answer the question, though everyone has their own idea, I too believe it is when your belly button comes out. When you start showing, I do not think of that as "popped." It actually used to annoy the crap out of me when a coworker would say "everyone says I popped" and I just couldnt help thinking, YOU LOOK LIKE YOU ATE A LARGE LUNCH!
